Let Me In, Please

Unlike my baby sister Sutton, who lived on the wild side and liked the men she dealt with to be on the rough side, I preferred to play things on the safer side with a little bit of oomph. Dante was exactly that he was the type of nigga who you knew what to expect from. Sutton never missed a chance to tell me how lame Dante was or how I was selling myself short by being with him. Of course, I agreed with my sister; however, I’d never let her know that. She’d never let me hear the end of it and would probably try to set me up with the thuggish niggas she dealt with. No, thank you. Sutton liked niggas who got into shootouts and killed people. I was good on that. I would continue with Dante before I entertained anyone Sutton knew.

“Hey,” I said, grabbing Sutton’s arm and pulling her back from browsing the junk food on the shelves. “Isn’t that dude from the entrance?” I asked, trying to discreetly nod my head in his direction. Leave it to Sutton to openly look toward him.

“What the hell are they doing?” Sutton asked, openly staring at the two dudes at the end of the aisle we were heading down.

I saw him, and my heart dropped. Damn. He literally took my breath away, and I had no idea who he was. The friend was far from my type, but I found myself making all kinds of exceptions for him.

“I don’t know, but let’s go the other way,” I nervously said, and we turned around. Again, I felt that burning gaze on me. I was tempted to look back, but my fear was winning right now. Something about this man scared the hell out of me, and I knew if I got anywhere near him, it was over for me. “Maybe we should go,” I said to Sutton as we headed down another aisle filled with candy.

“No.” She looked over her shoulder. “I don’t see them anymore. We should be good. Besides, I got my mace. Fine or not, I’ll mace that nigga if he keep on with this weird shit,” Sutton replied, pulling out a pink mace container.

“Dude got you spooked, huh?” I snickered. Sutton liked to think she was the toughest female in the world.

Throwing a couple of different types of candy into the cart, Sutton shot me a dirty look. “Kiss my ass. I’m not scared of that nigga. He just being weird. Staring at me and not saying nothing is creep behavior.”

I watched my sister toss bag after bag into the cart. She had no type of urgency in her movements. I was ready to get out of this store before we ran into those niggas again. I wasn’t trying to risk our lives for a few snacks. There were plenty of other stores we could still go to. Sutton liked acting big and bad, but her little ass wouldn’t have been able to take on either of those big-ass niggas if they tried to do anything to us. I might have been on the bigger side, but I still knew I couldn’t take either of them down, and I damn sure wasn’t finna try. I wanted to get out of here ASAP.

“Sutton, we don’t need anything else,” I urgently said to Sutton as she threw more candy into our cart.

“You can never have too many sweets.” Sutton giggled, throwing her long hair over her shoulder. “You talking about me, but them niggas got you shook, huh? You ready to go?”

Sutton was a girly girl. She never left the house without looking like she was runway-ready. She kept her a fresh sew-in. I swear she changed her hair color every week. Sutton had a curvy but petite body. While most females felt they had to have the biggest asses, Sutton loved her slim body. She was the biggest advocate for “little booties matter.” Nevertheless, Sutton’s face was enough to grab any man’s attention. Her deep-set brown eyes lured any man who looked at them. She had a medium-sized, round nose and full, heart-shaped lips. Reddish freckles covered her face, giving her sienna-hued skin an extra flair. If you were just looking at Sutton, you would swear she had an innocent look about her. However, she was a firecracker if you pissed her off or messed with someone she loved. She’d been in more fights than I could count.

“Yeah, until your teeth start falling out.” I snickered, shaking my head at her. “And yes, I’m ready to go. When my gut tells me it’s time to go, I listen.”

Sutton paused, turning toward me with a goofy smirk. “See, you don’t know anything. The more sweets you eat, the sweeter the coochie is, and the sweeter the coochie is, the more these niggas can’t keep their mouths off of it.” Sutton was dead serious. “That’s probably why that nigga was stuck. He smelt this sweet pussy and fell in love. Stop worrying so much. Them niggas probably long gone by now.”

All I could do was laugh at Sutton. She always had some slick comeback. Sutton had made getting a few more snacks sound convincing. Maybe she was right. I needed to calm down. I went to turn around to grab another bag of candy, only to be startled when I bumped into a man I didn’t even know was behind me.

“My bad,” I awkwardly said as I tried to figure out how he’d gotten so close to me without me knowing.

My breath became lodged in my throat when I finally made eye contact with the nigga from a few minutes ago. He was fucking beautiful up close, yet he still looked like he could kill everyone in this store without even breaking a sweat. This man was tall, at least six-foot-five. He had tattoos all over his face. I hated tattoos, but for some reason, I loved them on him. This man’s face was a work of art. Every detail was made perfectly, from his cat-like eyes that almost looked like they were clear to his high cheekbones and slim but broad nose. Even his pointed ears looked perfect. His goatee and chinstrap beard framed his face. Curly, midnight-black hair sat on top of his head with a crispy hightop fade. I could see tattoos lining the side of his head too. Three gold chains hung from his thick neck, lying on his fitted white T-shirt. His chiseled arms were bulging out of the sleeves of his shirt. I was shocked to see both of his arms also covered in tattoos, hiding his smooth, peanut butter skin.

He bit his lip as he gazed at me longingly, like he’d been waiting for me. I gasped. Was that a fang? I swore I saw a fang glide past his lip, but as soon as I blinked, it was gone.

“Quinny.” He smiled at me, his deep sultry tone made my heart drop right into my panties. “I’ve been waiting for you for centuries,”

I swear my clit grew its own heartbeat hearing him speak my name. He’d literally set my whole body on fire. The longer I stared at him, the more I felt like I was being pulled into a trance. I felt weird. Like I belonged with him. Like I was his and he was mine. I saw flashes of our life together. I could feel him making love to me. Making me cum over and over. I saw the babies we’d have. The long life we’d live together, spanning centuries. Centuries? I had to be losing my damn mind. Wait, how did he know my name? All my fantasies turned into worry when I thought about the fact that he knew my name.

“H-how,” I stuttered, trying to break free from the hold I felt on myself, “do you know my name?”

He smiled, showing all thirty-two teeth. He’s perfect.

“I know everything about you,” he answered calmly. His smooth, velvety voice made my pussy pulse. I couldn’t explain why this man was making me feel the way he did.

I should have been scared, but fear was literally the last thing on my mind. I was becoming so consumed by his presence that the only thing I could think about was us turning into one. I felt like I needed him, we belonged together.

Fuck no, Quinny. You’re losing your mind. Snap out of it.

“You aren’t. You belong to me.”

My eyes grew two sizes bigger when I heard his voice echoing through my head.

It was then that terror settled in my body. There was no fucking way this man was human. He couldn’t be. I cautiously took a step back, bumping into the cart and startling myself. Whipping around, I turned to see Sutton in a heated kiss with a man I’d never seen before. Sutton wasn’t the kissing type. This wasn’t like her.

“Sutton,” I shrieked. Reaching out, I pulled her arm, removing her from the man’s embrace. He looked at me, his eyes glowing a dark blue color I’d never seen on anyone before. He was pissed, his glaring eyes spoke volumes.

“Quinny,” Sutton called my name, her eyes wide as she looked at the man fearfully. “We have to go!”
