When her eyes landed on me, I saw a ghost of a smile grace her lips before she quickly looked around to make sure we were alone. Once she confirmed that we were, she whispered, “What are you doing here?”

I chuckled. “Damn, girl. You act like we fucked or somethin’. You at least gotta wait ’til we do that to start actin’ all guilty and suspicious.”

Her eyes widened as I stepped behind her desk and pulled her up so I could hug her. She tried to pull away from me, but I held her there, loving the feel of her in my arms. Finally, I let her pull away, but my eyes stayed with her.

“You say that like you know we’re going to . . .”

“Fuck?” I asked, my brows hiking up and amusement dancing in my tone.

Her skin tinted red. “Yes.”

I tucked some of her hair behind her ear. “We are, Yaya. You ain’t know?”

“I . . . I, uh . . .”

She was so damn cute. I reached my hand out for her. “Come on.”

“Come on where? I can’t just leave work.”

“Says who? You forget I own this shit?”

She looked around again. “Gino, . . . I don’t know—”

“Look, we ain’t leavin’ the building. I’ll have you back at yo’ desk in no time. I ain’t a nigga who asks people shit. I demand, but I’ma try somethin’ different wit’ you. Can you come wit’ me, please?”

My hand still stretched out for her. She looked down at it. I didn’t miss the small smile that formed on her face before she grabbed it.

Warmth spread through me, and my dick twitched, begging to stand at full attention.

I led her to the elevator and pressed the call button. I continued to hold her hand in the elevator, and when it opened up to a new floor, her eyes went wide. “Does Grant Your Wish own this floor too? I thought we only had the first four floors of the building.”

“I own the whole building, beautiful. Aniya don’t know I got an office up here.”

Her brows rose, but she followed me out of the elevator and toward the only office on this floor. It wasn’t much on the inside, but I planned to change that once Aniya got her walking papers. I wanted to convert the top levels of this building into another business, maybe a real estate brokerage or something, where I could work out of. That was if I decided to be hands on. I could delegate everything and just fill my days with Yara. I grinned at that.

Once inside my office, Yara looked around before her eyes landed back on me. “And your wife doesn’t know about this office, why?”

“First of all, pretty lady, stop callin’ her my wife. Aniya don’t know about this place because I don’t like her ass.”

“Okay,” she said slowly. “Then why does nobody else know about it? Why’s it a secret?”

“I don’t like people.”

“But you brought me up here.”

“Because I like you,” I reasoned.

Yara sighed and leaned against the bare desk. “All of this is really confusing to me. You realize that, right? You’re my boss’s husband. This is crazy, Gino.”

I stepped toward her. The lustful look that seeped into her eyes didn’t miss me. I smirked and bypassed her, sitting on the desk chair. Looping my fingers through her dress pants, I pulled her in between my legs. Her juicy ass pressed against my desk as I massaged her hips.

“I’m sorry.”

“Excuse me?”

“I’m sorry. Don’t make me repeat it. I ain’t a nigga that apologizes.”

“For what?”
