“Let me see that.” Dorian hands it to me and I hit play.

Sage moves closer and watches over my shoulder. The song “Bad Boys” is synched up perfectly to Enzo and Sage rappelling down the wall and shooting the window out before swinging into the building. I open the comments and immediately start giggling.

Wish they’d crash into my window

What felonies do I need to commit for SWAT to show up?

Asking for a friend.

They look like that?! Excuse me while I go join the police

academy.

BRB. Calling 911.

I can’t even get my man to take out the trash

I need the one on the left to break me like he broke that

window… fast and hard

I cackle and Sage takes the phone from me to read the comments. There are also a bunch of sexual memes sprinkled throughout. His eyes go wide as he scans the screen.

“Who needs dating apps anymore when feral women throw themselves at you online.” He smiles and hands the phone to Enzo.

“Oh PUH-LEASE.” I roll my eyes. “You have women throwing themselves at you in person. You don’t need a viral video for that.”

Sage reaches around my back and pinches my ass, and I almost choke on my pizza. I really need to stop rolling my eyes. My cheeks are always going to have bruises if I keep it up. He slides out of the booth to get us another round from the bar.

Ava’s attention is buried in her phone, gnawing on her bottom lip. She's furiously tapping away. When her phone pings, her expression changes to apprehension. She looks up at me quickly, while grabbing her purse.

“I’m going to head home,” she states while standing.

“But you just got here,” Dorian whines.

“I have an early day tomorrow.” Her eyes shift around the bar nervously. “Work stuff.”

Enzo begins to slide to the end of the booth. “Let me walk you to the subway.”

“No!” she snaps. Her eyes widen briefly before her face relaxes. “It’s around the corner. I’ll be fine.” She looks in my direction, but avoids eye contact. “I’ll text you,” she rushes out before she walks away and out the door.

I narrow my eyes at Enzo. “What the fuck did you do to her?”

“ME?! Nothing!”

Dorian’s heads bounces between us like a ping pong ball.

“She won’t talk to me about what happened between you two.”

“That’s because there’s nothing to tell.” He glares at me.

“She was fine before you started pursuing her.”

His jaw ticks and his grip tightens around his bottle.

“Maybe it’s one of her fuck boys,” he grunts and drains his beer, slamming it down on the table.

“Enzo, I love you, but if you fucking hurt her—,”
