That made the most sense.
He flirted. He teased. He was charming. Chasing me through a mirror maze and kissing me against a farmhouse wall sounded exactly like something he would do.
Except, my thoughts couldn’t stop going to Sullivan.
I haven’t spoken to him.
Ever.
What if it was him?
The man behind the mask had been quiet.
Patient.
Almost unsettling controlled.
It couldn’t be him, right?
“You’re doing it again.”
I blinked.
“What?”
Willow pointed across the midway.
I followed his finger.
And froze.
Both brothers were there.
No masks.
Not yet.
Sebastian was leaning against the counter of one of the game booths, talking to one of the other workers. Even from here, I could see the grin on his face.
That charming smile of his.
Then, my eyes move to Sullivan.
Right next to his brother.
His attention somewhere in the crowd.
He looked devastatingly good.
Last year, I didn’t get to see him on the fairgrounds during the day since he was sick, unless he came later.
It was scary how much alike they looked. They could be twins.
Sullivan’s hair was smoothed back from his face, showing his face. His strong jawline and his lips were set.
Both of the brothers were wearing the fair uniform polo and black slack pants. Identical.
My eyes move down to see how broad Sullivan’s shoulders were and how strong he looked, even from all the way across the way.
