Sin shoved again at Rhen, “Let me go, Rhen.”
“Sin. You have to let him go. He… he wants to be with Jenn.”
“How?” An embarrassing sob escaped her. “How can he want her?” She whispered. “How can he want her when he belongs to me?”
“He hasn’t completed the full moon ritual yet. He doesn’t fully belong to you. And you don’t fully belong to him.”
“But I gave him my heart?” Tears trickled down her cheeks.
“Now, I’m giving it back,” Kaede said, approaching her and Rhen.
Rhen pulled her close. “I got you. Let them go. Don’t stoop to their level.”
“I’m sorry, Sin. I’ve come to learn that we’re not right for each other.”
Her voice shook as she said. “Eat a bag of dicks, dragon.”
“See. That right there is proof that we’re not meant to be. The Fates made a mistake. They…”
“Rhen, get him away from me before I conjure up a bag of dicks and force them into his mouth.”
“You can do that?” Rhen asked.
“Rhen!”
“I got you. Kaede, you and Jenn should leave. Now.”
“Goodbye, Sinclair.”
She ignored Kaede’s farewell. He needed to leave now. She was trying to hold in her breakdown until he was no longer around.
“Bye, piggy…”
“Bitch, you’re going to get yours. Kaede can’t protect you forever.”
Jenn started to say more but Kaede jerked her from the bar. When they were gone, that was when the real tears started to fall.
“I can’t believe I fucking believed in him.”
“There, there, mother has you.”
“Shut up, Rhen. You knew about this and didn’t tell me. You’re not my friend. Once I regain my strength, I’m shoving a bag of dicks into your mouth.”
“Why not a bag of pussies?”
“I’m serious. What kind of friend are you?”
“Seriously, tonight was my first night seeing them together. I swear. And I was just about to come looking for you.”
“You’re my friend. You should’ve beat him up.”
“You’re the one who told me to play nice with him.”
“That was before I learned he was dicking down the succu-bitch. No wonder she was always looking so smug when she saw me. I can’t believe this shit.”
“So, are you sad or mad? One minute you’re crying, the next, you’re yelling.”
“I’m both, stupid.”
