Sin cocked her head to the side.

Lee rolled her eyes. “Okay. I get it.”

“They’re ignoring her. Everyone knows what she’s like. The only reason I brought it up was because she asked me to ask you if the two of you could put the past behind you and be friends.”

“I figured as much. I didn’t know she’d acted like that.”

“Even if she hadn’t, we still wouldn’t be friends. Rhen told me that she’s been asking the men about me. Asking if they’d date a plus-size creature like me or not.”

“Rhen said the males are ignoring her. Mainly because they fear Kaede or are friends with Kaede. But if this chick wanted to be friends with me, she wouldn’t be acting like that.”

“She’s only doing it because I don’t get out much. She doesn’t fear me because she doesn’t know me. I’m giving Kaede until Christmas to get used to the idea of me fighting against The Deciders. After that, I’m leaving this damn cabin. That bitch is going to get to know me then.” Sin went back to stirring her batter.

“I’ve heard K talking to Takeo and Nachik about the battles to come. He’s terrified of you getting hurt. Since coming here, I’ve never seen him afraid of anything.”

Sin sighed. “Being mated does make you stronger. But, it also gives you a weakness. I’m now his weakness, and he’s now mine. How do you and Nachik balance that out?”
