“Guys… He felt eerily similar to Satan.”
Fates’ Measure
The dirt floor of the brimstone castle was the same sight that greeted me every time I visited the Fates. However, broom closets were not meant to hold seven people.
“A strip club? Really?” Briggs grumbled. “Don’t you find that sort of inappropriate?”
I snorted as I led my guys down the dark hall. “Wait until you meet them.”
“When we were here last, they were naked men with super high-pitched voices,” Stone explained, shaking his head.
“I once walked in on a centaur orgy with them at the center, so no telling what we’ll see today,” I whispered, then raised my voice as we entered the throne room. “I brought company.”
“We know,” Duo distractedly replied.
“What are you doing?” I asked slowly.
Oh-so-fucking-slowly as I took in the scene before us.
Trēs stood, bent at the waist, with a tape measure and a marker in her hand. Duo sat on the floor, her dress draped around her as she held the end of said tape measure… To a horse’s genitals.
To Ūnus, who was in the form of a horse, giant penis fully extended.
“Trying to figure out where we went wrong,” Trēs informed me, biting the tip of the marker to remove the top.
Duo tilted her head, then shook it as she grimaced. “Why do humans want to fuck these things?”
I messaged my temples, already exasperated. “I thought you said you wouldn’t be weird if I brought my mates?”
“We’re not,” Trēs snipped, rolling her vibrant purple eyes.
“It’s a little weird,” I muttered, glancing at my guys.
They were confused. The entire scene was a trainwreck, and they were unable to look away. I should have warned them that the Fates were eccentric.
Probably.
This was a more memorable first impression, though.
Ūnus morphed from the dappled stallion into a clothed goddess to tell me, “You’ve seen worse.”
“I’m not denying that,” I said, holding my hands up. “But it’s definitely in my top ten.”
“That’s bigger than Jack’s clone-a-willy stock-pile in Dolyn’s warehouse,” Palmer stated. “I think they got the size wrong.”
“Lalalala,” Novak sang, covering his ears and eyes.
I wanted to do the same. Especially when Ūnus morphed back into the horse.
“Oh!” Duo cheered, clapping her hands. “We need Jack.”
“No!” I shouted.
Not that they cared.
Jack dropped onto the floor, a sheet covering his lap as he blinked to adjust to the bright light in the room.
“What the fuck?” he whispered when noticed us.
