“I did not,” I lied, shooting a smirk at my vampire. “Why would I throw an open tube of glue in my bedroom? It could have ruined my carpet, or my clothes, or—”

“Are you serious?” Novak’s brows were high, eyes wide. “Stop lying to him.”

I cocked my hip, smiling sweetly at him. “If I’m lying, then why do you have a pocket full of googly eyes and a tube of glue?”

“I do not have—” He stopped, his hand in his pocket, eyes narrowed into slits, as he growled at me. “Trouble!”

I glanced at Vaughn, my gaze trailing down until I saw my handy work. And I just couldn’t keep a straight face any longer.

His dick hung thickly between his legs, two black and white eyes staring up at me... Though one of them was a little wonky.

I threw my head back, dissolving into a fit of giggles. Novak snorted, turning his head as he struggled to contain his laughter. Stone bit at his lips, sealing his mouth closed to not draw attention his way.

It didn’t help him.

“You let them do this?” Vaughn asked, outraged. But there was humor under it.

“No.”

“You didn’t stop them,” my fae pointed out.

Stone shrugged, chuckling. “No.”

“Why?” Vaughn demanded. “They glued crafting supplies to my dick, Stone.”

“Why?” Stone repeated, grinning. “Look down, Vaughn.”

My fae scrubbed at his face, then peered down. His mouth formed a dozen different responses before he pinched the bridge of his nose.

“They’re cross-eyed.”

I sank to the bed, peels of renewed laughter making my sides hurt.

“It’s not that funny,” he told me, though he was smiling.

“Yes, it is.”

“We’re going to be late,” Palmer yelled up the stairs. “We’re supposed to meet Jack in—”

“He’ll understand why we’re late,” Novak shouted back. “You don’t have to scream. We can hear you just fine.”

“Okay. It’s a little funny,” Vaughn finally admitted, shaking his head. “I want you to know I will be getting you both back for this.”

“I didn’t do it,” Novak argued. “She did. I’ll show you.”

“He’s totally lying,” I mock-whispered, backing away from them both. “It’s a cover-up.”

I squealed as Novak lunged for me, barely missing as I stepped through the Void into the living room with the other half of my mates.

“Who are you running from?” Briggs asked, smirking.

“Honestly? I’m not even sure at this point. Stone might catch me and drag me back to Vaughn and Novak.”

“Are you going to the bar naked or—You’re dressed,” York said, rolling his eyes at me.

“Where are the guys?” Palmer inquired.

I snorted. “Circle jerk.”
