“Tell me I’m not your type,” he challenged. “I’m every demon's type.”

I sighed, finishing my shitty drink in one last gulp.

“You’re not my type,” I informed him. “I like my demons dark and mysterious, with violent tendencies, well-cultured, able to hold a job down… Asian aesthetics. Are you from Oren? Are you violent?”

I ran my hand over his arm as I whispered, “Are you willing to be an accomplice in my many murder sprees? Can you keep up with the Devil, The High Coven Mistress of Vampyre, and a Druid princess? No? I’m not—”

“Yeah,” He was just being a dick as he answered, not believing the things I was asking him. What he asked me when he interrupted my speech really pissed me off, though.

“But what does that mouth do other than lie and make smart ass remarks?”

I gave a cruel, cold smile, flashing a mouth full of human-looking teeth at the jackass that wouldn’t leave me alone.

Stone walked up behind him, watching me with a smug smirk tilting his lips. For once, I wanted to force my demon to the surface, but I held off, having her assist me in other ways so that she could get a decent meal.

I felt all my teeth elongate and my jaw open a little wider as the psychopath inside me flexed her mental talons.

All he had to do was walk away when I told him no, but he didn’t.

I was the wrong bitch to salivate over.

The copper-colored demon paled and his decadent fear wafted over me like an expensive bottle of white wine.

Who was I lying to? Tequila, not wine.

Stone smiled slyly as he noticed the slight shift in my demeanor, reaching down to adjust himself as his eyes traveled across my body.

Oh, he liked watching me scare the pathetic demon.

I leaned forward, chomping my teeth together mere inches from the poor demon’s face.

It might have been seductive if my teeth weren’t all nearly an inch long and razor sharp. My demon and I loved to use our teeth as a scare tactic, but altering them made talking a difficult task to master.

The demon — I’d call him Victor — turned ashen and blinked like that would make my teeth transform back to the natural way they were when he’d hit on me.

Stone swaggered forward as Victor stepped back. He bumped into Stone’s chest, swallowing audibly as he turned to run off.

My demon mate grabbed Victor’s shoulder, peering into his face as his voice took on a dark and enticing tone. “You should watch what you say in the presence of bigger predators.”

Stone let his demonic teeth slide out as he smiled menacingly, sending delicious shivers down my spine.

I was pretty sure Victor pissed himself as Stone released him. If he’d had a tail, it would have been tucked between his legs as he quickened his pace, jetting toward the exit.

I smiled up at Stone as he reached for me. Snaking his muscled arms around my waist, he snatched me into his lean chest.

My demon mate tilted his head down, his lush lips touching my left ear, and whispered pure sin to me, “When we get home I want to feel those claws digging into my back.”

His teeth grazed the sensitive skin behind my ear, and I felt a bead of blood trickle down my neck, making me quiver. I didn’t try to hide the effect that little bit of pain had on me.

His mouth explored the length of my neck, cleaning me up before anyone saw the trail of red. I noticed how soft his tongue was, and my thoughts spiraled out of control. The pain laced with pleasure, and his whispered request had so many ideas popping into my head.

I grinned against his shoulder, shoving a few images into his mind. The first one was mild, then I slowly escalated the depravity of my wants.

Me with my lips around his cock and his hands fisted in my hair.

Me on the bed with his head buried between my legs.

Him biting into my inner thigh, lapping at the blood that welled up on the surface of my skin.
