“Ahhhh! Congratulations, ladies!” I bubbled. “I’m so happy for you guys. This year really turned around, and we’re only halfway through. So much time for us to accomplish even more.”
“Are you excited about the tour now without the charges hanging over your head?” Amill questioned, passing hand-sanitizing wipes around the table.
“I am. This tour is going to be so different though. I’ll have a cuddle buddy and won’t make things awkward trying to avoid Xain’s face,” I detailed, taking a sip from my passionfruit margarita.
They burst out laughing.
“So, Amill. Are you eventually going to abandon us and move to Miami with Stepp?”
“Maybe,” she shrugged.
Jameera spit out her drink, spraying the chicken wings I was about to dig into.
“Come on now,” I complained.
“My bad,” she apologized before turning to Amill. “Are you serious? Nah, I don’t like Stepp for you no more. He needs to move here. Why the fuck would you move down there?”
“Bitch, you’re about to get married and start having babies. You won’t be thinking about me. Then Khaleesi is fucking the help now,” she joked.
“And is.” I raised my glass high. “The dick is big and helps relieve all of my stress. But seriously bitch don’t talk about my man like that.”
“Why are we calling Xain the help?” Jameera puzzled.
“Oh yeah, you weren’t in the best spirits, so I didn’t share Montell’s rant in the group chat. I only told Khaleesi. Basically, he said Khaleesi was a bum bitch and fucking the help.”
“Oh no he didn’t,” Jameera gasped.
“Yep, made like four videos about her in his Close Friends. I think he added me to his Close Friends on purpose since I’m always online and he knows y’all aren’t. I blocked him after that, so I have no idea what else went on, but Xain chose this bar so that he could fire Montell in front of Khaleesi when he took over.”
“Oh y’all were doing a whole lot of side quests without me,” Jameera pouted.
“Neither of us nor Stepp knew what Xain had up his sleeve. We were just as shocked as Montell when he walked into the office,” Amill explained.
“Weak ass bitch stay popping it about me, his ex from six years back, but Xain had his ass on mute. He didn’t even offer a rebuttal,” I vented.
“So has he formally asked you to be his girl yet?” Jameera inquired.
“He hasn’t formally asked me, but we fuck like it, so tomato, tomahto.”
“Girl, please, you co-own a lounge with him. Y’all co-parent your brothers,” Amill waved me off. “You sound stupid as fuck. Y’all are official.”
“You’re right. But sometimes, I wonder if another relationship with someone who works so closely with me is a good idea. I tried that with Montell, and we see how that went. It was so awkward when we broke up. A nigga ranting about me on live would be the least of my worries if things between Xain and me didn’t work out. I don’t even want to think about how he would behave if we broke up.”
“They are two completely different people, and Xain would feel disrespected to hear you compare them,” Jameera lectured. “Xain is a real nigga. Montell was an internet nigga.”
“Period, and I’m never dating an internet ass nigga again,” Amill added.
“Speaking of internet niggas. I should’ve known you weren’t into Travis. You’ve had a habit of doing things for the plot since I met you, so that’s not out of character at all. Everything started making sense when Travis accused you of having something going on with Stepp,” Jameera laughed.
“What happened to Travis after Quincy’s birthday party?” I pried.
“I don’t know. All I do know is he didn’t press charges and hasn’t been online since,” Amill shrugged.
As long as they stayed out of jail, I couldn’t care less what they did with Travis.
