Without another word, she made her way toward her truck and helped them all inside. Storm was already there with a car seat for her to strap the baby inside. The other kids didn’t have one, and she was going to rectify that as well.

“Morwenna, I can take care of them.”

“Why? Because you were doing so well before?”

“Morwenna?”

She held her hand up. “You know what? Save it. I get you not embracing them before I knew, because you were trying to keep his secret, but now, it’s just cold. They’re your grandkids, your flesh and blood, but you know what? They’re just kids.” She shook her head and climbed into Venom’s truck.

In the back of her mind as she drove away with Bolt’s kids, she didn’t know what the fuck she was doing. All she knew was, she couldn’t allow them to stay there. It wasn’t right, and Star wasn’t fair to the kids.

This was not because they were Bolt’s kids. It was because they were kids.

Venom was pissed off as he looked down at the ground at the local park and saw the signs of the drugs. The sheriff’s department had gotten a call, and that was extended to Maverick, and he asked him to chase it up.

More often than not, Dwellers Point Police Department was filled with drama when it came to details. They always wanted to point the finger at the club, or at drugs, or at something else.

This was drugs. In Dwellers Point.

This wasn’t good, because they didn’t distribute any of the products they sold close to town. They were runners, the men that made money by moving the product, and had a deal with the Italian Romona Mafia. They were not men to be trifled with. This was not their product. He didn’t know why the fuck it was close to town.

The deal they had with Romona Mafia was sweet. They picked it up at the border or the coast, wherever they needed to, and escorted it to the location that always changed, depending on circumstance. There were always people watching. The Romona Mafia paid to have the law turn the other way. So far, it was a deal that had never soured.

Maverick didn’t want drugs near his town. When the Evil Dwellers MC set up their clubhouse, he was clear on many things. No drugs, no women, no guns. The town was to stay fucking clean, but he had no problems taking the shit where it needed to go. Anyone who broke their deal had to deal with the club.

Pulling out his cell phone, he dialed Maverick to give him an update. Once he was done, he hung up and stood, looking around at the local park. This was where kids came to play. He nodded to the cop, who had also just taken a call.

It would be his job to bag it, and Venom was already looking around to see if he could spot anything that would help. Nothing. This pissed him off.

He didn’t like when people played in the dark. It wasn’t lost on him that where Morwenna was afraid of the dark, he happened to relish it. Everyone to a certain extent was afraid of the dark. That level changed depending on the person.

He made his way to his bike and straddled his machine, making his way back to the clubhouse.

“Did you see what she did? She threw Star at Bolt,” Jo said. “I think that girl has way too much rage built up inside her.”

“Don’t you think she deserves it? Morwenna is his wife, and Star was always bragging about the fact she had kids with him,” Kate said.

Venom looked at the women, and they all stopped and turned toward her. There were a couple of women he didn’t recognize.

“Hi, Venom,” Jo said, shaking her tits as she walked toward him.

Ignoring her, he made his way inside the main clubhouse, and more of the guys were talking about what went down. When he heard Morwenna had taken all three kids to the ranch, he went back to his bike and took off, riding toward the ranch.

His truck was parked and there was no sign of her outside. He made his way into the ranch house, and he couldn’t see her, but as he got toward the backyard, he heard them.

Stepping onto the back porch, he watched as Morwenna chased Kyle and the girl around, while the older-looking child sat in the center. She looked happy. He expected to find her crying, but instead, she was giving the kids the time of their lives, and he was surprised to see little Kyle actually had blond hair.

“Stranger!” Kyle said, pointing a finger toward him.

This was mainly due to the fact when he spoke to Kyle a few weeks ago, and the little kid asked him his name, he told him he was a stranger.

Morwenna laughed. “That’s not a stranger. His name is Venom and he’s a deadly snake with poisonous venom and he’s going to come and eat you all.” She grabbed the little girl and pretended to munch on her face.

Venom didn’t have a clue what was happening and he looked toward Morwenna. Her eyes went wide and she gave a weird nudge of her head. He frowned but then glanced around and figured she wanted him to play. Putting his cell phone on the table, he removed his leather jacket and making hissing sounds, he started to stalk them all as if he was their predator.

Morwenna giggled, and he was able to catch the little girl, who gave a scream and a wiggle. He hissed and nipped her with his hand, in a playful way. She laid on the ground, giggling, but also twitching as if she had real-life venom.
