“I don’t want you to. You’re family, and that includes Ollie, so family gets in free.” Knox’s arms wrap loosely around me. “Would you like to come to the club with us? We haven’t actually had much time there together, and Ollie, too, of course.”

“Yeah, we’d like that. It’s another thing Ollie said about you both. That you would want us to hang out.”

I join in the conversation. “It’s not about us playing. It’s about friendship and spending time together. Not that I’m averse to playing, but I’m guessing you two have only been together a little while.”

“Sunday was the first date, and we had fun at Bound the night before. I asked if he would like to go out on a date.” Maddox smiles again, and it’s so full of happiness. “We’re officially boyfriends. We both know it’s fast, but it feels right.”

“That’s so exciting; he really is a great guy. Um, when do you plan to go again?” I ask, knowing I’m not being subtle, but I don’t care.

“Tonight, actually. Will you join us?”

I look at Knox and know he’s going to accept the offer. I know he could do with a release; he’s been getting more and more annoyed that Maddox seemed to be ghosting us again. “Yeah, we can come. It might not be till after nine; I’ve got a class before that.”

“No worries. I’m going to work out. I’ll call Ollie and let him know; he’ll be pleased.

Which is how we are back walking into one of my favourite places. The scent of masculinity and sex fills the air. I look to the corner booth and see Saint and Noah, Finn and Drake are sitting close together, both in leather and harnesses. For however much Drake is a sub, he’s still a tall and muscular man, and booty shorts don’t really work for him. That’s not to say he won’t have a cock cage on and his fly open. Ollie and Maddox are with them, and Ollie is laughing, then he sees us and jumps up, rushing to us.

“I knew you’d be good with this. Maddox has a hard time trusting and is always looking for the negative side.”

“You’re the perfect man for him; he’s very lucky,” Knox says as the three of us walk back together.

I’m not sure what impression we’re giving, but Maddox’s eyes darken as he looks both Ollie and me up and down. I’m not sure it will take too long for the four of us to play.

I can’t wait.

“He’s really going to be okay. Knox isn’t going to get pissed off just because he saw us together,” Ollie says, trying to placate me while I freak out over Knox seeing me kissing Ollie. It’s only a few hours since I agreed to spend time with them and apologised for being a dick.

“It’s not that simple; they wanted me to join them as a partner. Roman is very vocal about what he wants, and he makes no secret about it.”

“Trust me. There isn’t going to be issue. Now, where are you taking me for our first date?” He wraps his arms around my waist to hug me.

I want to believe he’s right, and again, it’s true he knows the two of them much more than I do. It’s not the same way as Knox and I knowing each other as kids, because there’s a huge patch of time in between. “It’s cinema night in the park. I thought we could start there. Grab some nachos or whatever other food trucks they have and watch the movie.” Ollie is virtually vibrating with happiness, this is obviously a hit. “What’s playing?”

“The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of The Desert. I haven’t seen it for years, is that okay?”

He’s nodding with so much enthusiasm and a smile so wide, I know that I’m going to do everything I can to make him this happy every day. I have a feeling he might be my one. “We better get a move on; we need to park the car get to our seats by seven—forty-five. It starts at eight.”

“Isn’t it ticketed? Or can we get them when we get there? I always thought they sold out really quickly.”

“I went online and got them earlier.” I take his hand, and we go outside to my car. I know there won’t be a chance of bumping into Knox, because he grabbed his food order and left straight away. He didn’t even look at us again. I’ll work out if that annoys me more than him watching us again, later.

The park is almost full. When I show my ticket confirmation to the man in a yellow hazard vest, he points me over to a fenced off area. “Good evening, Mr Levin, all you have to do is show your phone to that guy, and he’ll take it from there.” Have a good evening, Sir.” He nods politely and goes to the next car behind me.

“What’s up? Aren’t they going to let us in?” Ollie asks, concerned at the man’s comments.

“No, and don’t worry; I paid for VIP tickets, so we get to park up closer to the venue and get out easier too. I hate being in queues.”

“Oh, are you someone rich or famous?” Ollie is looking at me with a weird look on his face, like he’s trying to think if he should know me.

“I was in the MMA scene for a long time. I don’t get recognised often, but he seemed to know me. I guess he watches YouTube.” I play it down because it’s not me anymore.

“I don’t watch that; it’s very brutal. All that punching and kicking is scary. I know Knox does some kickboxing, but he doesn’t fight for real. I haven’t got a membership to his gym. It’s expensive, and I can’t justify it when I can use the local one for much less money.” Nothing about Ollie shows any jealousy of people with more money than him; he’s so open and honest, and that’s something really special about him.

We park in the slot allocated to us, and when we get out, I’m handed a couple of tickets. “That one will give you access to your seats, and that one is for your hamper.”

I thank him and can see Ollie looking at me again, his smile just as wide as before. It’s not one of wonder or any shit like that; I think he’s never been spoiled before. He squeezes my hand, and with a little tug, we’re off to find our seats. It’s nothing too glamorous; it’s just better wooden chairs with a table to put food and drinks on. I don’t want to take the whole atmosphere away, but it’s nice to have a little more space around us.

The film is everything I want it to be. Ollie watches avidly, and I have to remind him to eat some of the food. As the evening closes in, we have rugs we can wrap around us. I end up sitting on the ground with him between my legs so I can wrap us up together.
