Despite himself Dylan snorted with laughter. He was about to turn and speak to Fraser when the man stood up and slid a business card across the bar’s surface toward Bennett, who gazed at the man with narrowed eyes, making no move to pick up the card.

“I’ll leave you with my card if you ever decide to get curious. Hell, I hope you do. I could do things to you you’d never have dreamt of.” A tremor ran through the man’s body and he took a deep breath. Dylan was instantly turned on by the whole scene and he thought his cock might jump out of his trousers and demand to be sat on.

Fraser Pearson lightly touched Bennett’s arm. “I hope to hear from you, Bennett. If not—I’m still glad I met you. You’ve given me something to think about tonight when I’m in bed.” He gave a wolfish grin before he walked away, making Dylan swallow and feel faint.

Did the man just say what he thought he did? He was actually going to think about Bennett while he—

Dylan stopped that traitorous train of thought before his fertile mind drew pictures he couldn’t cope with. Bennett’s face was the picture of consternation as he took on board the man’s last words. Then, frowning, Bennett looked down at the card, picked it up, tore it in half and put the two pieces back on the bar without even looking at it.

“I’m off to get another drink. Want one?” Bennett asked. He obviously didn’t think what had happened warranted further discussion.

Boy, Bennett, my man, are you ever wrong.

Dylan nodded. “The same again, thanks.” He waited until Bennett’s back was turned then surreptitiously picked up the torn card and slid it into his pocket. He took the time to adjust himself as well. He wished Alec would hurry up and get here so Dylan could tell him all about this. Then he planned on taking him home and driving him into the mattress.

Ten minutes later he was into his second beer of the night and was sharing, to a recently arrived Alec, Bennett’s sense of emotional injury and the fact he’d been hit on a by a most determined man.

Dylan cackled as the story played out. Alec sat beside him grinning in amusement, his hand resting on his partner’s knee. Dylan was leaving the best for last—the identity of the man who’d propositioned his best mate.

Dylan chuckled. “Bejesus, Bennett, my lad. You get someone bloody tasty wanting to fuck your brains out and more. Why don’t I get offers like that when I’m out?” He moved nimbly to avoid Alec’s punch to the arm as he vented his displeasure at Dylan’s comment.

Bennett watched the horseplay with a look of faint indignation. “I had nothing to do with the thing with that Fraser Pearson guy. God, the man was insistent.”

Dylan saw Alec sit stock upright, his jaw dropping. “Fraser bloody Pearson was the man who hit on you?” he gasped.

Dylan smiled in satisfaction, his mission accomplished. He grinned and turned to Bennett with a smirk. “That man, boyo, was none other than one of the most respected Doms in the city. He’s big into the BDSM scene and everyone wants to sub for him or fuck him.” He grinned. “I have to say if he’d hit on me before I got this fella beside me in my life, I wouldn’t have said no.” He leaned over and kissed Alec, who responded in kind.

Bennett shook his head, looking out of his depth in this conversation.

“He’s a Dom? I know what it’s all about but why would he approach me? Christ, do I give off ‘gay sub’ vibes that much?” The plaintive note in his voice had both Dylan and Alec ungluing their lips and giggling.

“Would you please stop that noise? It’s most unnerving to hear two grown men doing that,” Bennett said mulishly.

“No, Bennett, you don’t give off too many gay vibes.” Alec laughed. “But Fraser sees something he likes, he tends to get it. He obviously had a yen for you and thought he’d test the waters.” He smiled slyly. “You aren’t bad-looking, you know, quite sexy. I’m sure people have told you that before.”

Bennett scowled. “He even asked me if I’d ever been with a man before out of bloody ‘curiosity.’” He sounded quite put out. “I didn’t even deign to answer that one.”

Dylan couldn’t hold back an explosive snort.

Bennett glowered at him. “What’s that for?”

Dylan sniggered. “Well, you have, kind of, haven’t you?” He smirked as Bennett flushed red, something he didn’t do often.

“Christ, Dylan, that little episode doesn’t count and you bloody well know it.”

Alec was gazing at them both in stupefaction. Bennett seemed to realise he’d said too much, and he grew more agitated as he glared daggers at Dylan. Dylan was having trouble holding back his glee.

“You bastard,” Bennett hissed. “You promised never to speak about that. Alec, please tell your boyfriend to bloody behave himself.”

Alec shook his head, his eyes wide. “Oh no, you don’t. I am most intrigued by the turn this conversation has taken. Are you telling me you and him—” he gestured toward Dylan, who now had tears freely flowing down his cheeks, “—had a thing?” His voice was incredulous. Dylan was doubled up and could hardly catch his breath. He shook his head.

“No, you daft bugger. It was an itsy-bitsy mistake one time when we were on holiday together.” He stood up, holding his sides. “God, I’m aching now. Alec, sweetheart, you have nothing to worry about. I surprised him in the shower one time and let’s say it gave him a bit of a shock. And that’s all I’m saying about it because he’ll kill me if I spill the beans anymore.” He wiped his eyes with his shirt sleeve. “Now let’s get on to another subject. Even the talk of BDSM practices has to be safer than what we were discussing.”

Bennett frowned, but Dylan could tell he was glad the conversation had gotten off the topic of the unfortunate shower episode when they’d been on holiday in Greece together. Dylan had done something unexpected and certainly had no intention of doing so again.

Having a man’s rock-hard penis shoved intimately against your naked and wet straight backside was probably distinctly off-putting, and Dylan had been lucky to survive the whole episode.

The unfortunate incident had happened when Dylan had decided to sneak in and give the man he’d thought was his weekend lover a morning workout. He’d soon found out the error of his ways when Bennett had punched him in the face, giving him a black eye. Dylan supposed it had been an instinctive move on Bennett’s part to hit a randy man pressing up against him.
