His fingers trailed the arch of my back when I bent down a little to grab the table edge. His cock nudged my opening, teasing and slowly stretching me open. “Kilian, shit.”

“Sore?”

I shook my head, my chest falling and rising fast. “Just…just, you know.”

A swift tendril of shadows wrapped around my throat, squeezing lightly. “Look at you.” His fingers circled my sensitive core while he fully pushed it. “Look how your pretty little cunt stretches around me,” he said, lifting one of my legs on the counter so I could watch where we joined. “Look how beautiful.”

My legs began trembling a little when his fingers tugged into my hips, holding me tightly while he pounded inside of me frantically.

Wetness dripped between my thighs, soaking his length, making the joining sound of our bodies heavier and louder. He set a brutal pace, my breathless moans drowned by his grunts. All the time, his eyes never left mine, and I watched the pained look on his face with too much pleasure, a shamelessly wicked smile stretching on my face. He was right. It was fascinating. And I was too enthralled by the way his body fit with mine and how perfectly mine fit in his to let my head spin into the abyss again. My mind was spinning, but this time because of the burning pressure that built all over me, tipping me between the edge of insanity and pleasure.

He wrapped my hair around his fist, pulling my head back so he could kiss my ear and taunt me with his mouth while my body was still riding my climax, prolonging it till it threatened to collapse. “Watch me fill you up. That’s my good girl,” he purred when I opened my eyes again. “Watch how hard you make me come.”

I did. And it was one of the most insanely attractive things I’d seen. The thigh muscles bulging, the tightening of his abs, the veins on his forearm puckering, the pulse thrumming on his neck, his tight jaw ticking, holding back moans that escaped into breathy groans. He was perfect, more so in the midst of pleasure.

His hips bucked hard against mine and then I felt his warm come spill inside of me. If only to taunt me, he kept thrusting, a hand wrapping around my shoulders to hold my languid, pliable body upwards.

He kissed my cheek and stepped back a little, breathing hard, his finger catching the come that began seeping out of me. His other hand wrapped around my jaw, probing my mouth open. “In case you’ve forgotten my taste.”

I wrapped my lips around his finger, sucking and licking it clean. “I’d rather drink from the fountain next time,” I said, kissing his hand. “But thank you for being so considerate.”

He tilted my face up so he could kiss me. “Plenty of time for me to fuck every bit of you.”

“Ah, but there is the matter of daylight.”

He chuckled, throwing me over his shoulder and heading to the bathroom again.

I laid facing him in the bath, my chin resting on his chest while I looked up to find him smiling at me.

I fingered the little chain tied around his neck. It was new and beside his wedding band, he had never worn any other jewellery. “You’ve never worn this before.”

He twisted the necklace round and unclasped it, pulling a ring I had not seen out of it. He took my hand and slid it on my ring finger, over the black tattoo. “Won’t melt this time. I made sure of it.”

Awe left me gaping. A yellow diamond stood in the centre of a gold halo, encircled by six smaller white ones, almost resembling a daisy. Dainty, sweet and so, so pretty. “This is the prettiest thing I’ve ever seen.” I cupped his face in my hands and kissed every corner of it. “Thank you, darling.”

He kissed my knuckles and weaved our fingers together. “I’ve always wanted to see you wearing my ring on that finger. You have so much claim over me, woman. I can’t look anywhere without wanting to look at you first, smile at anything without smiling at you first. Speak, breathe, eat—all those—I only do them for you. I wanted something to mark my claim over you. The gods know,” he said, touching the tattoo. “Hopefully, a white-haired chicken with a personality as bland as his boiled flesh can now know, too.”

I laughed. “Lazarus is harmless.”

His jaw tightened. “Don’t say his name. Does he need his eyes, you think? I don’t want him even looking at you.”

“Now, now, Kil.” My cheeks hurt from smiling at my gift. “Love the daisy. Is it your favourite?”

“I think it might have been. I found an old design I’d made when I was looking through a box where I keep your things.”

“My things? What things? You have a box?”

“Birth certificates, midwife notes, tests your teachers had conducted and things of the sort. Even some drawings you’d made with some mashed peas because apparently that is how you got rid of them without being seen. It was the only one Eren would give me. Smells of peas still.”

My eyes widened. He was insane. “You do not have my birth certificate.”

“I do. In fact, I have several copies. Eren once brought me three by mistake.”

“You’re mad.” He looked so calm telling me all this that I had to re-evaluate the mad dynamics in this relationship.

“Obsessed, that is what I’ve heard. Eren used to call me that once. Now madly in love.”

“I have so little of you.” I wanted everything of his, too. Every little bit.
