“Need you to remove your gun from my President’s head, son,” Lawless said. “Nice and easy.”
The boy chuckled and stepped to the side, raising another gun, and pointing it at Lawless.
Fucking hell!
The brass balls on this kid.
“Fin,” his mom murmured. “Careful now.”
I was intrigued. Neither of them seemed scared or worried, making me wonder what type of life they’d lived that a bunch of bikers didn’t faze them. The kid's hands were steady as he held his guns on my men. He knew his way around them. No doubt about that.
“Look,” Fin said. “I get you’re the Kings and nobody fucks with you. But what you gotta understand is, that’s my Ma, and nobody fucks with her.”
“Aww, you a mama's boy?” Lawless taunted.
I was shocked and a little turned on when the woman I had pinned against the truck snorted with amusement, and the boy chuckled. Lawless didn’t get the reaction he was hoping for. If angering the kid was his game, it didn’t work.
“Damn right,” Fin answered with a smirk. “She’s always been there for me from day one. She’s, my ma. I’d do anything for her.”
“Even die?” Lawless asked, surprised.
Loyalty like that wasn’t uncommon in the brotherhood, but we didn’t often witness it in those we dealt with.
“If need be.” Fin shrugged. “But I’m not dying today. Not if you want your Pres to live.” He said it casually, as if he knew something we didn’t.
“Kid, are you high? We’ve got you dead to rights,” Midnight called out from the darkness. I knew some of the brothers had followed me, but I wasn’t sure who.
Fin smirked but didn’t take his eyes off Lawless or me. “Maybe you have. Maybe you haven’t. What I do know is that your President will be dead before I hit the floor.”
What the fuck?
“Ma,” Fin muttered. “Stop playing.”
The gorgeous woman in front of me rolled her eyes and grinned up at me. “Sorry about this,” she murmured. “I’m kind of enjoying you holding onto me the way you are. Makes me feel all kinds of hot.”
Her son groaned. “Fuck’s sake, Ma, I did not need to know that.”
I was amused by the pair of them but also turned on. My cock twitched at her words, and I flexed my fingers around her throat. I was considering taking her at her word and finding somewhere private when I felt the unmistakable nudge of a gun against my stomach.
There’s something wrong with me because, fuck me, if that’s not hot. They’d pulled one over on us.
My hold twitched again. Her smile widened as she pushed me back, one step at a time, until my hand fell from her neck, and she stood shoulder to shoulder with her son.
“Gentlemen.” Her husky voice curled around me, and I bit back a groan as my cock hardened. “Shall we get on with our business?”
“What the actual fuck?” Lawless demanded, shifting restlessly.
I held up my hand, my attention focused on the woman in front of me.
“You never answered me, gorgeous. Who are you?”
“Well,” she flashed me a dimpled smile, “I would have, but I was enjoying your attention.”
“Jesus, Ma,” her boy groaned.
Lurch chuckled, which shocked the shit out of me. That alone went a long way towards my relaxing about these two. Lurch wasn’t worried.
“What?” She grinned at her boy. “You’re the one who told me I needed to start dating.”
