“As I was saying,” I continued when they finally quieted down. “Juju’s living here now and she’s wearing my patch. We’ll have a party this weekend to welcome her.”

Midnight nodded. “I’ll talk to Rita and get it organised.”

“Appreciate it, brother.”

I turned back to the table. “We’ve got a shipment due over the border at the end of the month—the weekend before Thanksgiving. With ATF on our asses, that gives us three weeks to come up with a plan. This’ll be our last delivery from the Frasers for two months.”

I paused, letting that settle.

“I’ve spoken to our client and explained the situation. They’re good waiting until February for the next shipment, but they need this one. Maybe the ATF will have had enough of our winter by then and fucked off.”

A few of the brothers grumbled and nodded in agreement.

“We can live in hope,” Lurch muttered.

“Think of a plan, and we’ll discuss it at the next meeting.” I glanced around the table again. “If there’s nothing else, we’re done.”

When no one spoke up, I nodded once. “Last thing—until ATF backs off, no one rides out alone. Two at a time from now on.”

I picked up the gavel and brought it down with a sharp crack. “Fuck off, the lot of you.”

My brothers barked out laughs as they pushed their chairs back and filed into the main room of the clubhouse, heading for the bar. It was just after six in the evening, so the party was about to get started.

I followed them into the clubhouse, joining Lurch and Lawless at the bar.

“What can I get you, Pres?” Woe was behind the bar tonight. The Prospect had earned his road name because the fucker was always smiling. You could be reaming him out, and he’d still grin at you. Happy bastard.

“Beer.”

The word was barely out of my mouth before he handed it over. I tipped my chin in thanks, then turned, resting my back against the bar to survey the room. Lawless and Lurch stood shoulder to shoulder with me.

The Tarts were out in full force, drifting between the brothers, perched on laps, or, in Mystery’s case, he had one on her knees with her mouth full. Public sex had never been my thing, but to each his or her own.

My phone vibrated in my pocket. I pulled it out, my shoulders shaking when I read the message.

Juju OL: Hey, Ol’ Man… not sure I like that. Sounds like I’m fucking a wrinkly geriatric. I’m locking up. See you in ten minutes.

Me: Hey, Ol’ Lady. I fucking love calling you that. Not a wrinkle in sight. See you soon. Drive safe.

Juju OL: Always. I’ve got dinner. If Lurch and Lawless are with you, I brought enough for them too.

“Everything good?” Lawless asked, glancing over.

“Yeah.” I drained my beer and set the empty on the bar. “Ju’s got dinner for us. Enough for you two as well. You coming?”

“Fuck, yeah,” Lawless said. “Never turn down a free meal.”

Lurch shook his head at him, but he finished his beer and followed us out.

“Fucking mooch,” Lurch muttered as we headed for the bikes.

“You’re one to talk. You’re coming too,” Lawless shot back.

I swung a leg over my bike and glanced between them. “For fuck’s sake, you two are worse than kids. Let’s go. It’s freezing.”

“Yeah,” Lawless grumbled. “We’ll have to park the bikes soon. Fucking snow.”

He wasn’t wrong. None of us liked winter—being stuck riding in a cage, waiting for the weather to improve so we could get our bikes out again.
