Hopefully she doesn’t do anything stupid again to piss me off.
“I didn’t expect to have an invite from you.” A gruff voice muttered.
I looked over and saw Lazarus and Charlotte standing there, their son in Charlotte’s arms. I wasn’t sure why I invited them either, but I wanted to make amends and hopefully build a better future for all of us. I know Serena was nervous about them coming, but I knew whether or not they showed up, that would tell us how they felt about the whole situation.
About forgiving Serena.
“You know why I invited you.” I murmured, sipping on the glass of beer in my hands, “I’m hoping that this means Serena and I can start to consider you guys friends.”
Lazarus took a glass from a waiter, sighing, “I wouldn’t take it that far yet. We will just have to take it day by day, and then see how things go.”
“Well, I am happy that you guys could make it.” I admitted, running my fingers through my hair, “Serena was quite nervous about it, I’m afraid, but I am sure she will be happy to see you guys as well.”
“I’d like to talk with her more.” Charlotte agreed, a big smile on her face.
My eyes were instantly drawn to their child, “and what’s his name?”
“Quinn.” Lazarus replied, gently stroking his son’s cheek.
I watched the couple interact with their baby, imagining what it would be like for Serena and me to be in that same position. I wouldn’t mind filling her womb with my seed, creating a child with her that would grow up loved by us.
I pushed those thoughts away, knowing that it would happen, but we have a ways to go. Right now, I want to just enjoy spending my time with her, and not having to worry about anything else. It was a little funny because right now, all I could think about was dragging her home and making love to her.
I wonder if we can sneak away…
