Or at least, that’s what I wanted to believe.
But he sat up, his mouth and hands going straight for my nipples as he pushed upward. I groaned, shifting to try to hold onto the control but his free hand found my clit and my eyes crossed in pleasure.
“Let me feel you let go, babe. It’s the thing I always dreamed of, and I want to feel it now.”
“Harder,” was all I got out.
He groaned in understanding and his teeth and fingers tugged even harder on my nipples as he thrusted up.
I shattered, crying out his name to the night sky, a collision of feelings slamming through me under my favorite image.
His cries echoed mine as he followed, his release filling me and I wasn’t sure what to think, other than it was perfect, and prayed I wasn’t the only one who thought that.
I collapsed on him, my head on his chest as his arms wrapped around me and I couldn't help but silently wonder what this meant for our future. Where did we go from here?
I knew what I wanted, and I had a guess he did too, but I'm sure he felt the same; our friendship came first.
Chapter 8
Ajax
Isat there on my back porch, having my arm wrapped around Spy, and we were currently watching the sunrise, and it was the best time. It was calm and relaxing, letting me focus on just being in the moment.
It had been a great week and a half since we went for the drive. I got more of my book written with another idea behind it. And Spy had been by my side the whole time, making me the happiest man alive.
We didn’t have a status symbol, but I didn’t feel like we needed one. It was just us and I think we were both fine with that.
We had just assumed that we were an item and took it from there.
I glanced down at her as she snuggled closer, pulling the blanket over her shoulders. She sighed as the sun rose and I smiled.
“You looked beyond content right now,” I told her, kissing the top of her head.
She smiled at me and nodded.
“I am. I don’t think I’ve seen a more beautiful sunrise, actually. And I’ve seen a lot. But this just seems special.”
“Is it because I’m with you?”
She gave me a sneaky grin, and I couldn’t help but laugh.
“I mean, that doesn’t hurt in the least. But I’m not sure if that’s all of it.” Her eyes followed the lightness of the sun easing up. “It just feels nice and I really like it. Really like something I hadn’t known before.”
“You seem kind of stuck with words there too.”
“I am. I can’t express what I’m feeling, but I just know I’m happy.”
“That’s all I want.”
I held her a little tighter, glancing down at her phone as it buzzed. She groaned as she threw the covers off and I laughed. With a grunt, she reached for her phone, opening the icon.
I didn’t want to be the type to read over her shoulder and invade her privacy, but I couldn’t help but see the request pop up from The Network. Of course, it was for another event, and another man, that was requesting her company.
I bit my lip as I watched her read it, then read it again, before accepting.
And a wave of jealousy came over me so strongly.
I knew I didn’t have the right to say anything, but I wasn’t going to say that it didn’t bother me.
