Positives
This journal wants me to write what the positives are every day. Well, a doctor has just seen Amelia and said she has a fractured tibia, which they’ve pinned, and a “nasty wound” that they’ve sutured and dressed. It’s a quarter past four and Amelia has just heard from Lucas. He’s on his way, so I’ll leave as soon as he arrives.
Negatives
To make the yoga and breakfast, I’d need to get a bus back to Lockwood now, and the Sunday timetable doesn’t start until seven. By the time I get back I might as well go straight home because the sleep out will be over. While that’s disappointing, I’m secretly pleased because:
I’m still full.
I tried yoga a few years ago and it didn’t agree with me.
I’m very tired.
I don’t know how to look Fran in the eye again, knowing that she’s having an affair with a married vicar. Is it legal? Should I tell someone?
Lucas turned up at 4:30 a.m. Amelia said he would, because the club closes at four and he has to lock up. He called me “sweet” and said I can go to Lunar whenever I want and have a free drink too.
Amelia told me they felt obliged to take Georgia in because she’s his cousin, but she’s lazy and miserable and they don’t really have room. Amelia says she’s embarrassed Georgia let the group down by giving up the part of Gerda, but I said it’s made my year and they shouldn’t feel bad. I didn’t want to add, because it’s not my business, but in my opinion, Georgia seems lazy and miserable for another reason entirely: she’s pregnant. Once a nurse, always a nurse.
Well, this journal entry is the longest ever and I’m the tiredest ever. I’m at the hospital bus stop now, waiting for the first bus. There’s so much whirling around my head not even writing it out in bullet points has helped.

Everyone who’s doing yoga. Emma breezed in at 6 a.m. with a speaker and string bag of balance blocks.

Have you heard from Amelia or Lucas?

No, and when I asked Georgia if she’d heard anything, she shrugged and turned away. Issy went with Amelia in the ambulance, she’ll know more.

Well? What does Issy say?

No idea.

No! I’m alternating downward dogs and sun salutations.
