“Sugar is my weakness.” She shrugs her shoulders. “I love desserts and little treats.”

“How did I not know that? I feel like I should know everything about you.” I take her hand in mine and press a soft kiss to the back of her hand.

“I don’t know. I don’t really let people know. I sneak stuff at the bar or out of the kitchen at the clubhouse when Dixie makes something good. Now, I have to go to The Little Fox Café whenever I need a sugar fix.”

“My little closet sugar baby.” I smirk, making her roll her eyes.

“I just don’t want something boring. Who wants bacon, sausage, eggs, and toast in the morning?” She scrunches up her nose like what I ordered is the most insane breakfast choice.

“Everyone?” I chuckle and shake my head. I love her fiery little attitude.

I love how Roxy doesn’t back down and is more than willing to go toe to toe with anyone. She doesn’t care if you’re twice her size and have fifty pounds of muscle on her. She’s not taking your crap.

The waitress brings out our meals and I dig in immediately. I'm starving. I need meat and protein to refuel my body, especially if we’re getting tattoos.

Roxy takes her time cutting up her food. She smears the cream cheese frosting over each piece of her French toast. She’s so deliberate with how she does it. Each piece gets a walnut or raisin, but not both.

When she’s satisfied, she lifts the first bite to her lips and groans as soon as the sugar hits her tongue. I stare at her with my fork half way to my mouth and fight to stay on my side of the table. I want to pull her into my arms and kiss her again.

“Why are you staring at me like that?” She mumbles around her bite as she frowns at me.

“You don’t even understand how addicted I am to you.” I shake my head as I shove the fork in my mouth and chew.

I take Roxy’s hand in mine and lead her into the tattoo shop. Every artist raises their head to see who walked in and when they see my cut, their eyes narrow. This shop is owned by the Sinners and every artist is one of them. I always go to River, but his brothers Whiskey and Gunner are also amazing artists.

They aren’t sure if I'm here on club business or to get a tattoo. I can't blame them for not trusting me. I wouldn’t trust anyone either.

“Hey, Chopper,” River says as he comes out of the back. “How ya doin’, man?” He pats me on the back.

“Pretty good, though I think your boys are on edge right now.” I nod my head towards the Sinners.

“Guys, he’s cool. I do all his ink.” He waves them off with his hand like they’re being ridiculous. “So, what are we thinking?”

“My girl wants a lion with a scar across its face and green eyes.”

River’s gaze turns to her and his eyes widen a little. I'm not sure what he’s thinking, but I don’t like it. I tighten my hold on Roxy and make it clear she’s not up for grabs.

“Alright. Where do you want it?” He goes back to being the professional artist he is.

“Um… I don’t know. Either my arm or my thigh?” She nibbles on her bottom lip as she thinks about it.

She looks so innocent and scared right now. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her scared of anything.

“Do you have something on under that sweatshirt?” River motions to my clothes covering Roxy’s body.

“Yeah.”

“Can you take it off so I can see how much space I’d have to work with?”

Roxy strips my sweatshirt off and I watch every set of eyes in the shop go straight to her chest. River has the decency to keep his attention on his job and not my girl.

“Ok, so if I tattooed your upper arm, I could only make the tattoo this big.” He grabs a piece of paper off the counter and the pencil from behind his ear. He draws a smaller sized oval on the paper and holds it up to Roxy. “I could make this work, but I'm not sure if you want something bigger.”

“How big could you make it on my thigh?”

He takes another paper and draws a larger circle. I know which one I’d choose. I’d go with the thigh and get a larger tattoo, but I won't give my opinion unless she asks me.

Roxy spins around to face me and snakes her arms around my neck. I smirk, knowing she’s doing this to show everyone she’s mine and they should ignore her.
