As if she could.

He rolled away, leaving Cadi’s mind awash in thoughts of his body, his hands, his tongue. She almost didn’t hear the soft slide of a drawer or the tear of foil before the mattress dipped and Elias’s hand slid against her.

“On your stomach for me,” he directed gently before he placed a tender kiss to her shoulder. She rolled and propped herself up on her forearms as he grabbed a pillow, guiding her hips up to slide it beneath her. A steady thrum coursed over her skin as his lips drifted up her spine, his hands following the lines of her body until he was right above her.

Every single one of her muscles trembled with anticipation. Her body craved him, needed him. His fingers brushed her shoulder, gathering up her hair and gently sweeping it over her back to expose her neck, where he calmly continued his worship.

He was trying to drive her insane—there was no other explanation.

“Elias,” she whispered, her voice rough. She felt him move, lifting his face to hers, then he gently tugged her earlobe between his teeth.

“Yes, Cadi?” he said, his tone light with playful teasing.

She pulled in a quivering breath when she felt him nudge her legs apart with his own and settle himself between her thighs.

“Fuck, I need you,” she choked out, no longer caring about restraint. “Gods, I need to feel you inside of me.”

“Oh, Cadi,” he said softly, running a hand down her arm. “You already have me.”

He gripped her hip and pressed forward, pushing into her slowly. She gasped at the sudden fullness, the agonizingly beautiful stretch as he gave her every glorious inch of himself. Then, he pulled back, easing out of her with a slowness that made her head spin.

“Every piece.” He pushed back in to draw a soft cry from her before he pulled out again, until only the tip of his cock remained. “You always have.”

At last, he settled himself deep, then shifted into a smooth, steady rhythm that tore every thought from her mind. His hand slid up her throat to grip her jaw and angle her face so his lips could brush against hers, letting his desperate breaths wash over her.

“Tell me you’re mine,” Elias murmured, his voice beginning to shake.

“I’m yours,” she moaned, just before he swallowed her reply with his kiss.

She felt another orgasm take root, building deep with every thrust he made, every roll of her hips to meet his. Gods, he was going to destroy her, and she wanted nothing more than to let him. Her hand fisted the sheets beside her as her pleasure grew, and his fingers closed around hers to hold her tightly as they ascended together.

Every sensation was heightened. Every shift of his body against hers, the weight of him above her, the feeling of him between her thighs. Tension coiled again, faster this time. Desperate cries tumbled from her lips as she raced toward release, savoring every moment in between.

Elias pressed his lips to her ear, his breath frayed as he whispered, “Come for me, love. Fuck, I need to feel you let go.”

With a ragged cry, Cadi hit her peak, and her body tensed around him as a second orgasm ripped through her. She screamed his name, her back arched, feet sliding across the sheets for purchase against the wave that overtook her. His rhythm became faster and more erratic, his breaths tattered. A primal sound broke from his chest as he joined her, his arm wrapping tight around her to pull her close as he shuddered through his own release.

In the sudden stillness, Cadi collapsed against the bed, the waves of pleasure still lingering in her muscles as Elias gently pulled out of her and rolled to the side. For a moment, neither of them moved, their battered breaths and beating hearts mingling with the forgotten chaos outside the windows.

She felt him shift, then felt something soft and warm being draped over her. He gently tucked the blanket around her hips before he wrapped her in his arms and pulled her to his chest.

“I can’t believe you’re real,” he breathed, placing a reverent kiss to her mouth. She let out a tired laugh and ran her fingers over his skin, then pressed her lips to his chest before she rested her cheek against him.

As she lay there, his breaths beneath her slowed and a heavy haze gently slipped over her as the steady beat of his heart pulled her softly into sleep.

CHAPTER TWENTY

ELIAS

Elias traced his fingers across Cadi’s back as she slept. Her skin was soft and warm beneath his hands, and he knew that he could live forever just like this, with her body pressed into him, her tired breaths light against his chest. A smile spread across his face at the gentle flutter that stirred behind his ribs, awakened by the simple truth that she finally existed in his life.

Careful not to jostle her, he shifted to brush a stray curl back from her face, his smile growing when a soft snore escaped her lips. He still couldn’t believe that she was real, that she was here with him. That despite the odds, she had found him worthy and let him so close. Everything about her drew him in: the sound of her laugh, the way her curls spilled across her cheek as she slept, the faint trace of jasmine that still clung to her skin. She was more than he ever could have dreamed of.

Not even the gods knew beauty like this.

His head still swam from the high he’d reached the moment he slipped inside her. The feeling of her body wrapped around his was absolute heaven, and he would do anything to make her come alive like that again. It was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Since the moment she had walked into his life, he’d known that everything would be different. She was made for him, and there was no question in his mind that every part of him belonged to her. Completely.
