“Damn,” Lunden said, feeling starstruck at her beauty like she was a movie star. “You look great.” He stood up from the couch. She looked ten times better than he ever imagined in the dress he had gotten her.
“I straightened my hair the way you liked.” She smiled as she ran her fingers through her long, natural black hair. She had to admit; Storm was the only person other than herself who could get her thick hair bone straight.
“Look, about that… I'm sorry. You didn’t look like what I said. I was buggin’. I know you like to express yourself with your hair and your nails, and I don't want to take that from you. Even though I love when you're on your natural shit.” He put his head down in shame. After he left the shop, he thought about what he had said to her and knew hurting her feelings was not right.
“Thank you for apologizing and understanding. If I don't look good, my clients will think I'm not going to make them look good, so I like to always look different all the time. I told you, you're my boo, and I'll never do anything to disrespect you,” she admitted as she gazed into his almond-shaped brown eyes that she loved.
“Thank you, sweetheart. Now let's get the fuck out of here and go party. My lady looking like a kingpin wifey. I might have to shoot a nigga ova’ you tonight!” Lunden said excitedly as he gripped her hand to head to the door.
She laughed. “I hope like hell you don't.”
When Lunden pulled up to the club in his AMG 450 Mercedes, all eyes were on them when they stepped out. She was dressed to impress, and so was Lunden. It was a celebration for one of his right-hand men. He was also celebrating hitting a million dollars in drug money.
Things were looking up for him and Dexten, even though he was locked up. Lunden promised to keep business booming while he was in jail, and Lunden would hold his cut. So, he stepped out in a pair of custom men’s black Louis Vuitton tennis shoes, black Amiri jeans, and a matching gray and black monogram shirt to match his shoes. All black was always his attire. He wore five diamond Cuban link chains, making sure he looked as hood-rich and flashy as he could with his lady.
“Aye, y'all get out of the way and let my guy and his girl come through!” The bouncer demanded aggressively as people tried to bombard the door while they tried to walk through. Pretti held his hand tight as they made their way through the door. When they stepped in, she somehow lost Lunden that fast after she realized he had let her hand go.
“Damn, ma, you sexy as fuck,” a man bumped into her and said. She knew him speaking to her was bad for business, so she dismissed him as nicely as she could.
“I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be rude, but I got a man, and I’m looking for him now,” she said politely.
The guy looked her up and down. “Oh shit, you’re the new West Coast barber chick in town. I’ve been meaning to stop through and check out your skills. My bad, ma. You Lunden’s girl too. Ion mean no disrespect.” The dude walked off, knowing anything that belonged to Lunden was off limits. His name rang bells in the streets, so he made sure the city knew the new girl in town was his.
When she got deeper into the crowd, she felt someone grab her waist. She turned around quickly, thinking it was another dude, but it was Lunden.
“Who was that nigga you were talking to? I hope you told him you got a nigga,” he bellowed in her ear as he continued to grip her waist tighter than usual.
“Yes, I told him, but he already knew. Where the hell did you go?” she asked with an attitude. She felt that if he didn’t let her hand go, she wouldn’t have gotten caught up with the guy.
“Follow me, and don’t get lost. We’re in the VIP section on the stage.”
As they walked to the stage, a dude with a microphone walked up to Lunden.
“Aye, check and see if it’s on, bro,” the guy told him.
Lunden tapped it slightly.
“Hello, hello? Yeah, this motherfucka on! I’m in this bitch with my nigga Mane for his 30th b-day. Happy birthday, my guy. We’re about to turn up Harlem style, ya’ dig. I got my fine ass lady on my arm too. So, if you see her in the streets, know that's me. And if you need a fly ass cut, head over to the new spot in town. Pretti's Barber and Beauty Salon!” Lunden shouted over the microphone like a pro. He had hosted plenty of his homies’ parties, so he knew the protocol. Be as live on the mic as you can for the audience.
Everyone looked on as Lunden and Pretti stepped on stage. Lunden walked up to the birthday boy and gave him a bear hug. He then handed him a stack of money and a gold chain.
Pretti watched, smiling, as Lunden interacted with his friends and talked on the mic. She had never been to a club in New York, and it was live. All of Lunden and his friends looked like some fly-ass dope boys straight out of an NYC rap video.
Bottle girls came flooding the stage with bottles of Clicquot and D’usse. One of the girls passed her a bottle, and she wasted no time popping it. Ever since her first drink of champagne with Dexz on her eighteenth birthday, she had been addicted to the bittersweet drink.
She reached on the table behind her for a champagne glass and poured herself a drink. Lunden drank D’usse straight from the bottle and felt himself completely.
He slid her onto his lap when they sat on the white leather VIP couches and had her sit there most of the night. He didn’t want anybody even thinking they had a chance with her.
Pretti was tipsy, and the music had her feeling good, so she started grinding her ass on Lunden to the beat of the song. He was getting turned on by the sway in her hips. He was pleased she had rhythm and was being sexy yet classy as she gave him a lap dance.
“I’m makin’ love to you tonight. You too sexy for me not to fuck you, ma,” Lunden uttered near her ear and started placing light kisses on her neck.
She smiled and let his words go over her head. Pretti was getting hot, so she slipped out of her jacket. Lunden draped it over the front of her, took his hand, and slid it under her dress.
He pulled her panties to the side and found her clit. She gasped at the feeling of his fingers playing in her wet peach. She was turned on, especially since that was the first time she had ever been touched sexually by a man.
“Act normal, babe. They are taking pictures.” Lunden uttered as he nibbled on her earlobe, smirking as he watched someone in front of them take a picture.
