There it was.

“Pictures of Sianni with another man have led to even more speculation. Neither of you have publicly addressed them yet. Is there anything you'd like to clear up about those photos?”

I could’ve answered. Hell, I had plenty I wanted to say. But those pictures were Sianni’s to explain. I looked at my wife and gave her hand a small squeeze.

Whatever she wanted to say, I was with her.

“Honestly, there isn't much to clear up,” she said. “Those pictures aren't recent.”

The interviewer’s brows lifted. “They're not?”

“No.” Sianni shook her head. “They were taken during the time Kyrie and I weren't together.”

“And the man in those photographs?”

“Someone I was in a relationship with during that time.”

There it was. No name. No extra details. Nothing that wasn't anybody's damn business.

The interviewer looked between us. “So, Kyrie, you knew Sianni had been in another relationship during the years you two were apart?”

My face twisted before I could stop it.

“That’s my wife. Of course, I know she had a life when we wasn't together.”

“So, seeing the pictures didn't bother you?”

“For what?” I shrugged.

“She wasn't cheating on me. She wasn't sneaking around behind my back. According to the timeline, everybody knows we wasn't together when them pictures were taken.”

Sianni glanced at me, and I squeezed her hand again.

“I ain't finna sit around competing with some shit that happened before me.”

“What did bother me,” I continued, “was somebody taking some old shit, throwing it online with no context, and playing with my wife's name like they knew what the fuck they were talking about.”

Sianni's hand settled against my thigh. I looked down at it, then back at the interviewer. Yeah, my wife already knew where my mind was going.

Because while everybody else might've been satisfied with finally getting the truth about those pictures, I still wanted to know who the fuck put them out there in the first place.

The interviewer glanced down at her cards before looking back at us.

“So, with the timeline of those pictures now being cleared up, do you think that puts an end to the rumors surrounding your marriage?”

I let out a dry laugh.

“Hell nawl.”

Sianni looked over at me. “Kyrie.”

“What?” I shrugged. “It ain’t. You know how people are. We can sit here and tell them the truth today, and by tomorrow, somebody gon’ find some new shit to talk about.”

The interviewer nodded. “Does that bother you?”

“Not really.”

“Really?”
