Then his mouth was over my dick, and I choked on the cry that threatened to wake up the whole outpost. His mouth slid down as I came in his mouth, groaning when despite all the sensation, I could still feel his tongue teasing the underside as if to coax more out. I was left gasping and heaving, the taste of him on my tongue, and a sense of contentment warring with…something else.

“Some things change, eh?” he asked wryly as he leaned against the other arm, watching me in amusement. “Used to be that you couldn’t go more than a few inches before you’d feel like you were going to puke in my lap.”

“Things change,” I said.

“You are…so smug right now.”

“A little…okay, fine, I’m really smug right now,” I admitted with a laugh. “But hey, how often does someone get the chance to show off their new skills to someone who knew them when they were an amateur? You came so hard.”

“That I did,” he agreed. “Now what?”

“I don’t know,” I admitted. “We were just starting to be normal around each other, mostly, and now—”

“And now—”

“Thoughts and feelings,” I muttered.

“Huh?”

“Thinking aloud. Maybe…maybe we don’t have to agree on what’s going on right now. Maybe we can let ourselves…sit in our feelings and think about things before we decide what’s next.”

“We’ll have to face it sometime.”

“I don’t know who it would have been more ironic to hear that from,” I chuckled. “We’re both pretty bad at avoiding things.”

“Some things change…and some things deserve to change,” he said quietly.

“You won’t hear me disagree,” I said, looking him over and feeling another, albeit weaker in the face of my contentment, rush of desire as he lay there, his soft cock lying against his thighs, his body on display, and a sense of happiness about him despite the serious conversation. “So we’ll just…wait, think, and then loop back around when we’re ready?”

It wasn’t the greatest plan, and it was pretty vague, but he nodded. “And what if—”

“If we find ourselves naked again?” I asked, and I smirked. “We’ll take it as it comes.”

“I'm not sure I like this,” he said in a low voice, but then snorted. “But if you’re going to criticize a plan, you’d better be willing to offer an alternative. Which…I can’t. So fine. We’ll run completely contrary to my nature and…leave things as they are without getting into it until we’re ready.”

“It really is a bad plan,” I chuckled, nudging his shin with my toes.

“So bad,” he chuckled, nudging me back.

And bad or not, for the moment, it felt good enough.

A frustrated growl interrupted me. “Would you stop that?”

“What?” I asked in confusion and annoyance as I looked at my brother, who was scowling at me. “What is your problem?”

“You and that damned humming,” he huffed, gesturing in my general direction. “You’ve been off and on doing it all day and you can’t carry a tune to save your life!”

“I can, too.”

“Please. You’ve been humming the same three songs all day and I can’t tell what song it is, that’s how bad you are,” Reno grumbled.

“Rude,” I muttered. “Maybe you’ve just got a bad ear.”

“Or maybe you’re tone-deaf and can’t carry a tune,” he shot back.
