“Sure.” Sutton stole a glance at Flynn. “Sounds fun.”

“Sutton’s a fantastic dancer, Noah. I hope you can keep up,” Leni said.

“That will not be a problem. Unlike the rest of these guys, I’ve got rhythm and I know how to use it.” Noah winked at Sutton.

Christ, Noah. Really? “Why don’t we get the check and get out of here?”

“We’re not quite done yet.” Seth nodded toward a group of waiters and waitresses heading in their direction with a cake illuminated by candles.

Flynn uttered a curse.

“We love you, brother, and we want everyone to know it,” Seth said as they set the cake in front of Flynn.

Everyone in the place looked over as they sang “Happy Birthday.” Flynn was going to give Seth hell for this, but one look at Sutton singing with the others, her radiant smile aimed at him, made him wonder if he should thank Seth instead—and lock up Clay and Noah someplace far away from her.

“Make a wish,” Victory urged.

There was only one thing Flynn wanted, and she was sitting right next to him.

Chapter Twenty

MUSIC BLARED IN the crowded club, competing with the thunderous roar of Flynn’s inner caveman as he stood at the bar waiting for his drink, eyes locked on Sutton dancing with Noah for the umpteenth time. Flynn had been enjoying watching her dance with Leni and Victory before Noah and Clay had sidled up to them. Noah wasted no time moving in on Sutton with his dirty dance moves. Not that Flynn blamed him. Sutton was a fucking goddess on the dance floor, swaying to the beat in that sexy blouse and curve-hugging skirt, her every move more seductive than the last.

“Here you go.” The bartender set a glass in front of Flynn, jerking him from his thoughts.

“Thanks.” He tossed a twenty on the bar and downed the drink in one gulp. He was tempted to order several more to try to drink the ache away, but there wasn’t enough alcohol on the planet to numb the emotions coursing through him.

As he headed back to the table, he saw Clay cut in on Noah and Sutton. Noah looked annoyed but turned around to dance with Victory and Leni. Clay leaned in closer to Sutton, saying something that made her smile. Her gaze skirted over the crowd, finding Flynn. With a wicked glint in her eyes, she danced more seductively. Her alluring lips curled into a sinful smile that made his cock take notice. He knew what those lips felt like wrapped around it.

Fuck. Maybe he needed those drinks after all.

“You okay?” Seth asked.

“What do you think?” Flynn bit out as he took his seat.

“I think you’re looking a little Hulkish again.”

“No shit.”

“You know they’re your brothers, and they respect you. If you clue them in, they’ll back off.”

“She’s a big girl. She can do what she wants.” Flynn watched her and the others coming off the dance floor.

“It sounds like your good friend Denial is messing with your head again. Do yourself a favor. Rephrase that statement to she can do whomever she wants, and then tell me how you feel.”

Flynn glowered at him. “Why are you fucking with me? Aren’t you the one who said workplace hookups never end well?”

“Yes, but I’m getting the feeling she isn’t just a hookup for you,” Seth said seconds before the others joined them.

It would be so much easier if she were.

“You guys are missing out,” Noah said as he sat beside Flynn. “These girls can dance.”

Flynn pulled out the chair on his other side for Sutton.

“Thanks, Noah. You and Clay have great moves, too.” Sutton sat down and grabbed her drink, smiling at Flynn before taking a sip. She was bright eyed and a little sweaty, her hair tousled. She looked sexy and wild, so different from the woman she was in the office and similar to the one Flynn had come to know in the rainforest.

“Some of us more than others,” Clay chimed in.
