hearing is if I marry you, I can take proper care of you?”

“Slow down, Romeo,” I chuckle. “Let’s get a few more dates under our belt before you start

proposing.”

WARMTH SURROUNDS ME LIKE A HEAVENLY COCOON. SNUGGLING INTO MASTER AIDEN, I SIGH AND SLIP

my arm around his waist. He’s the first guy I’ve ever had spend the night with me, and it was a little

weird having him in my bed at first. But when he wrapped me in his tight embrace, all those thoughts

fled.

Now, as I stretch and roll farther onto him, I don’t want him to leave. Thankfully it’s my day off

and we have all the time in the world. That is, unless Master Aiden has something else to do. Looking

up, I note his soft expression and closed eyes.

With him asleep, I’m able to study his face, noting the bit of shadow on his face. He’s so freaking

handsome, and he knows it. Even when he’s sleeping, he seems to have no flaws. Whereas I feel like

I’m simply riddled with them.

“Take a picture,” he grumbles. “It will last longer.”

I’m about to answer in some snide fashion when there’s a loud knock at my door. Who would be

here on a Sunday morning?

Not even the religious people do that. They’re all busy in church.

Jumping out of bed, Master Aiden looks at his phone. “Fuck. They were supposed to call me

before they got here.”

“Ummm. Who?”

“The maids.” His tone is so matter of fact, that for a moment I’m not even sure I heard him

correctly.

“The what?”

He starts to get dressed, calmly pulling on his socks as if this is no big deal. Meanwhile, my pulse

spikes at the very idea of someone going through my things and cleaning stuff that doesn’t belong to

them.

“The maids,” he repeats. “We talked about this last night.”

“No, sir,” I snap, not caring at all if he ends up punishing me for it. “You talked about it. I said you

were funny.”

“I thought when you said you wouldn’t marry me that this was my only recourse.”
