“I haven’t done it yet,” he says quietly, despite the others right next to us.

“You mean you haven’t painted your toes and put them up on craigslist yet?” I ask loudly, making sure to get everyone’s attention.

“Yeah, I actually don’t remember a photo being sent to the group to show it was completed,” Dirwin says.

“You need to get that done, man,” Emmett adds.

“What are we talking about?” Cooper asks as he sits back down.

“Leo still hasn’t put his feet up online.”

“Leo, my guy, what are you doing? It was supposed to be done within 24 hours.”

“It’ll be done,” he grumbles.

“It better be. We want to see those piggies.” Cooper tells him.

“Please stop.”

I barely survived the rest of the day with the guys. I’m not sure what got into them today, but they decided to annoy the shit out of each other.

Suddenly, my phone lights up. I pick it up, stretching out on my couch as season 1 of the Real Housewives of whatever city plays in front of me. I wasn’t sure which one it was and I was too much of a wuss to ask, so I looked through the women in each city to find the ones I was looking for. The drama from the very first season has been immaculate.

Although I didn’t intend for it to sound suggestive, it’s where my mind goes the second she sends that reply, sending all my blood south. It’s been getting harder and harder to think about her as just a friend. Not that I was trying very hard in the first place.

But I’ve wanted to move slowly. I know she does too. It’s beneficial to us both.

But I just want to hold her.
