At her name, Rinnon quieted down and went back to thinking about other things.

“Because this mountain might be suspicious in a place that can’t have a basement and it’s all swamp?”

Flynn explained so everyone was on the same page with this one.
“There’s no doubt that this was the location Fate chose. There’s a reason for that. We’ve killed a lot of people and vamps in NOLA. If someone’s raising the dead, we have to hope they don’t bring them back…”

Flynn had a point.
“The only thing that’s keeping us safe is that we don’t have to worry about a council. Percy is running the family, and he’s on our side. Jolie made sure the societies knew she could come and go at her whim.”
That was a very true statement. She was welcome there, but it was mostly because Flynn had been the one who ended the Tueur, and he was, technically, the king.
