“So you’re going to just drive toNew Orleans?” Flynn’s mother asked. “Where are we?Philadelphia? Won’t that take a day?”
He wasn’t surprised they thought they were in Philly.
“Right now, we’re inParis. Well, outside of it in a mountain lair.”
They stared at him like he was kidding.
“I’m serious. That’s where you are, right now. Technically.”
John shook his head.
“You live inParis?” his father said. “That’s pretty snooty of you.”
“HEY!”Jolie said, laughing. “I’m literally French,” she said, allowing the accent to come back. “What’s wrong withParis?”
“Same,” Death said, morphing back to Jacques.
“Uh, my bad,” he admitted.
Flynn took over so they focused.
“Anyway, we don’t drive. We transport,” he said. “Only, that’s inconsequential right now. We have to figure out who is staying and who is going.”
Tommy knew what that meant.
“Well, we did place all of those memories of us being back as cops. We might be able to sashay ourselves right onto a crime scene and handle it. The Big Scary can make them all think we’re running it.”
He had a point.
That meant that Tommy would definitely be going with him.
From deep within Flynn, he heard his squatter.

Flynn pointed out what he was forgetting.
You wanted to smite them. Did you forget that?
Rinnon wasn’t having it.
I was trying to help.

Flynn rolled his eyes.
Then, he handled it.
“Okay, Tommy is going. Jolie has to go since we can’t leave her here to wish anyone alive. She needs constant babysitting. Plus, if Fate finds out she’s also able to necromance the closer to Rinnon she is, the safest she is.”
She pointed at him.
“HEY!”she said. “It’s not like I brought back Hitler. I brought back your parents! Of all the things this family has done, that was minimal. We’ve seen some shit, Flynn Xavier Brogan!”
