“No. I don’t think so.”
The main doors open up and I swear time stands still. Her eyes instantly lock onto me and she smiles.
It lights up the whole room. Just like it always has.
She brightens my life, she breathes life into my soul. When she blows me a kiss, clutching onto her pink bouquet of roses in her right hand, I pretend to catch it.
It’s like time moves in slow motion with each step she takes.
I want her to be my wife, right this second.
I launch myself down the aisle and pick her up into my arms, holding her close and darting back to the spot.
“Honestly, Alexei. Sixty seconds and you couldn’t wait?” she says with an amused grin.
I lean in and kiss her cheek.
“No. I want forever now.”

As soon asthe elevator doors close, he’s already pressed against me. I just about manage to hit the button to take us to the penthouse that I’ve borrowed from Mikhail.
It has the best views of Vegas, complete floor to ceiling windows. I have plans to be slammed up against that glass and railed until I pass out.
It is our wedding night, after all.
Between fervent kisses, at some point the elevator dings.
The rush of air escapes from my lungs as Alexei leans down and gently scoops me up, cradling me in his strong embrace.
“I’ve seen them do this in the movies.” He winks, stepping into our suite.
With me still nestled in his arms, he confidently strides towards the dining table, and my excitement grows as I catch sight of the surprise I had prepared for him.
“Wow.” His mouth drops open, looking at the dining table.
I sneak a glance.
The entire eight foot glass dining table in the center of the room is smothered in candy. There’s so damn much of it you can’t even see the table.
Every type, every flavor. It’s there.
“You happy?”
He looks at me and back at the array of sweets.
“Happiest damn day of my life.” He presses a kiss to the side of my head and somehow hugs me tighter.
“You can put me down, you know?” I tease.
He shakes his head in disbelief, then leans forward to snatch one of the sugar-coated gummies.
He puts it between his lips and sucks, then holds it out in front of me.
