Trent parked in the slot next to his and Matt’s teammates piled out of the SUV. Simon and Liam flanked Cade, engaging him in conversation while making sure he didn’t hit the ground. Trent saluted Matt and followed the three men.

Delilah smiled at Matt. “A few more hours and we can go home.”

“Do you have a preference which house we choose to live in?” He wanted to move Delilah into his place as soon as they married because his had the best security system Fortress offered.

“Your house. We’ll decide what to do with mine once it’s repaired.”

He brushed his lips over hers. “Perfect. Come on. Let’s go upstairs. I think we should order something decadent from room service to celebrate.”

Her eyebrows rose. “Decadent?”

He winked at her. “A dessert with chocolate to top off dinner.”

“Great plan.”

Matt grabbed his mike bag and escorted Delilah upstairs to the suite. Sasha rushed to embrace Delilah.

“Are you all right? Cade told me what happened.”

“I’m fine. A little bruised up, that’s all.”

“I can’t believe your cousin was behind everything. Was your brother part of this?”

“No, he wasn’t.” Matt set aside his mike bag and sat with Delilah on the couch. “Zach was on his way to pay off his gambling debts when he learned Delilah had been kidnapped. He turned around and headed back to Harmony.” He glanced at Delilah. “He’ll want to know you’re safe.”

“Invite him to dinner.” Sasha grabbed bottles of water from the refrigerator and passed them around. “I’m sure he’ll want to see for himself that you’re okay.”

Delilah glanced at Matt, her eyebrows raised.

“It’s up to you.” He handed Delilah her cell phone.

“You found it.”

“I called your phone when I couldn’t find you at the lawyer’s office. I found it in the trash.”

Sasha gripped Delilah’s left wrist and raised her hand for a closer inspection. “You’re engaged! This is gorgeous, Delilah. Congratulations.”

Liam grinned. “About time. Good job, Matt.”

After the round of congratulations from Bravo, Delilah called her brother and invited him to their hotel for dinner. When Zach arrived an hour later, he wrapped Delilah in his arms. “I’m glad you’re all right. I can’t believe Shane would do this. Did he kill Mom?”

“We don’t know yet. Matt and I plan to stop at the police station tomorrow morning before we go home.”

“I don’t blame you for leaving town. You’ve had nothing but trouble since you arrived.”

“You said the deadline to pay your debt is noon tomorrow. Could you come to Otter Creek the day after?”

“Probably. Why?”

She grinned. “Matt and I are getting married if I can find a dress.”

“Yes!” Sasha did a fist pump. “Don’t worry, Delilah. We’ll find your dress tomorrow. Please say you’ll come, Zach.”

Zach turned to Matt, an unasked question in his eyes.

Matt nodded. If this was what Delilah wanted, he’d give her brother the benefit of the doubt. Besides, with his teammates and friends from PSI in attendance, Zach wouldn’t be able to cause trouble at the wedding.

“I’ll be honored to come, Dee.”
