“Do you want to wipe, or do you want Daddy to wipe?”
“I’ll wipe!” she rushed out.
Daddy chuckled. “Someday, I am going to wipe you. But today, you can wipe yourself. I’ll get the bath ready.”
Her face went red as Daddy stood. She knew he was being serious. Daddy was going to clean her up at some point. He was giving her a warning.
While Daddy started to get the bath ready, she sorted herself out. She didn’t want to stand up and be on display, so she stayed sitting. Margery knew he had already seen everything, but she still got a little shy. She couldn’t help it.
“Ready?”
She nodded her head and stood up. Daddy helped her into the bath and climbed in behind her. She hadn’t realized how big the tub was until Daddy was in it with her. She had taken a shower in here a couple of times, but it never really registered.
“I had this tub made specially so I could take baths with you. Not all of them, but some of them,” Daddy explained.
Now, he was being thoughtful. It touched her heart knowing he had done that for her. That he was thinking about her.
“Let’s just sit here and relax for a little bit. Help sootheyour body and sore muscles. Then, we can go to your surprise.”
Margery was trying to keep herself calm and collected. She didn’t want to do something and not be able to see the surprise. She was just going to have to be a good girl.
“You know I love you, right?” Daddy asked.
Margery relaxed into his embrace and nodded. He actually hadn’t said the words to her, but she knew by how sweet and caring he was being that he did love her.
“I love you, too,” she admitted.
Daddy wrapped his arms around her. She loved the feeling of that. Having skin-to-skin but also relaxing in each other’s embrace. They knew they didn’t have to talk to have a good, relaxing time with each other. Just being together was enough.
“Can we do this once a week?” she asked.
“Sure, can I ask why?” Daddy countered.
“I just love being in your embrace. I love feeling your arms around me. The feeling of being safe. But I also love how relaxing this is. I think we both need it.”
His grip tightened around her, making her feel even more secure.
“Okay, I probably need this more than you since I’m new to everything. I’m going to worry a lot, and doing this will help me relax. It will just help me know and remember that you’re here with me and nothing is wrong. It doesn’t have to be in the bathtub, but us just lying in each other’s embrace once a week for at least thirty minutes to an hour; I think that would really help me.”
Margery was pretty surprised that she was telling himthis. She usually kept those types of things to herself. She had when they first started dating, and she was trying to get better at saying things.
“Then we’ll do it. If it’s going to help you, we’ll make it happen.”
“I just know if we want to make this work, I need this. Some form of this. I know I normally don’t talk about these things, but I want this to work. I really do,” she expressed.
“And I do as well. So, if you ever find yourself needing something more, let me know. I don’t want you to suffer. And I will make sure to check in with you every day to make sure how you’re feeling. You’re not going at this alone. We are in this together.”
She relaxed even further into his embrace. She hadn’t even realized how tense she had grown while they were talking.
“I just don’t want to disappoint you,” she whispered before she could stop herself.
“You could never disappoint me. I promise. You will never disappoint me. You are the light of my life.”
Tears formed in her eyes as he spoke, saying such nice things, and she knew they were all true.
“Are you ready to go see your surprise?” he asked.
She pulled away from him and turned her head so she was facing Daddy.
