“Thank you!” Macy and I said in unison.

“Oh geez, y’all are already doing that married couple thing,” Everly said, rolling her eyes as she plucked a glass of champagne from the roving waiter. “Finishing each other’s sentences. I can’t…”

Benji shook his head. “How the mighty have fallen. Guess I’m the last man standing. Who would’ve guessed?”

I laughed. “Yeah, what a shock. The day you settle down, Benji, will be one for the books.”

“My brother’s never getting married,” Gabe said, sidling up to us. “Congrats, you two. Macy, you’re a gorgeous bride.” He and Jillian both hugged us, wishing us well.

Macy blushed. “Thank you. And thanks for coming. It meant a lot to us.”

“Wouldn’t have missed it for the world,” Jillian said, squeezing Macy’s arm. “It was a lovely wedding.”

“Congrats, you two!” Delaney gushed as she and Quinn joined our circle. “I love your dress, Macy.”

“Welcome to the family, Macy,” Quinn said as Ryder and Bree walked over to us.

“So happy to have another female at family dinner,” Bree said, hugging Macy.

“Congrats, guys. Beautiful wedding. Any chance you want to get married here?” Ryder asked Bree, his eyes wide with hope.

“Sorry, no. Alex would kill me if she didn’t get to be a flower girl. And I’d never hear the end of it from my mother.”

Ryder shrugged. “It was worth a shot.”

“Everyone grab a glass of champagne, we need a toast,” Mars said, a flute of bubbly already in hand. “Best man? Maid of Honor?”

Benji cleared his throat, shoved a hand in his pocket. “Liam. You give all the tech guys out there hope. Congratulations on tying the knot. Macy, I’m going to do you a favor and delete SwypeRight from his phone.”

Everyone laughed at that, especially me. Macy giggled, clutching my arm, and happiness swelled in my chest. Zero percent chance I’d ever be on my dating app again, outside of a coding issue.

“Seriously, I’m stoked for you both. Please come back and visit California often,” Benji said, glancing at me and Macy, then cutting his eyes to Everly and holding her gaze for a long second. “And even though you didn’t take the job, you’re still always welcome at the winery. I suppose I can see the reason why and, begrudgingly, I guess it was probably worth it.” He grinned at me, and Macy and I both laughed. “Cheers!”

Everyone clinked glasses and sipped champagne, chatting and watching as the sun sank down and the sparkly lights of Vegas lit up the inky night sky. Music played, finger foods were passed, and Mars kicked off the dance party.

“May I have the first dance?” I asked, taking Macy’s hand in mine.

“Always,” she said, beaming at me.

I twirled Macy onto the dance floor, dropping one hand down to her waist, pulling her in close to me.

“Today was perfect, Liam,” she said, her voice sweet and melodic. Her eyes met mine, shining brightly in the soft moonlight.

“For me, too,” I said, kissing the top of her head, the familiar scent of citrus calming me as we twirled around the dance floor. I leaned down, kissing her softly on the lips. Macy melted into me and all was right in the world at that moment.

The song ended and Macy glanced around. “Hey. Where’s Everly?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know. Maybe the bathroom.”

Macy bit down on her lip, casting her eyes around the deck.

“Now that you mention it, I don’t see Benji either,” I said, raking a hand through my hair.

“Huh,” Macy said, crossing her arms over her chest. “Think we should go look for them?”

“No. They’ll be fine. Benji will watch out for her. They probably went down to the casino and are playing roulette as we speak.”

“Or maybe they went to a club. I could totally see my sister doing that.”
