God, she wasn’t even sure how many times they had done it throughout the night, had lost count of the number of orgasms that had rocked her body. Her emotions were all over the place so she had no idea where Dylan stood. All she knew for sure was that last night had been absolutely magnificent. She wasn’t a relationship kind of girl and, although she didn’t have a lot of sexual encounters to compare this one with, there had been one major difference.

Emotions had been involved. Because somewhere along the way, she had developed feelings for this scoundrel. Dammit, it was the worst thing that could’ve happened.

Hollis pulled the sheet closer and took a tentative step toward the balcony. Her nerves made her heart pound, but she had to face him. Had to see if he was going to be distant and dismissive. Or, if by some chance, he felt the same strange things that she was trying to understand and sort through.

The storm had blown away leaving clear, blue skies and Dylan sat on the balcony in a pair of cargo shorts, lounging in the early morning sun like a big cat. A myriad of thoughts drifted through his head and he ran a hand over the rough scruff on his face. He lifted the coffee, took a sip and heard Hollis move into the balcony doorway behind him. Dylan turned, unsure of what her mood would be. He hoped for content and satiated.

Hollis stood there, clutching the sheet to her chest, bottom lip caught between her teeth. A ray of sunshine hit her just right and shot golden highlights through the mass of copper hair that framed her face. He’d never seen her look so vulnerable.

Or, so mouthwatering.

“I thought-” she began.

“I got-” he said.

They both stopped short and Hollis flushed. “Sorry, you go,” she said, and her fingers knotted into the sheet. She couldn’t help but admire his perfectly-sculpted, sun-bronzed chest. And, God bless it, she wanted to lick those tattoos right off. Again.

Dylan’s feet dropped and he stood up. He reached for a second coffee and handed it to her with that crooked smile that now pulled at her heartstrings. “I was just going to say that I got you a coffee.”

“Thanks.” Hollis accepted the cup and wished like hell she could read him better. Was last night a huge mistake? Just another notch on his belt? Did it mean anything at all to him? Did she even care what he thought?

Yes. Dammit, she cared so much. It would be so much easier if she didn’t, but he had swooped in and charmed her.

“Hollis…”

Her heart clenched and her gaze snapped up. She felt so exposed, so unsure.

“I don’t regret last night,” Dylan said. He took a step closer, touched her arm. “Do you?”

Hollis swallowed hard, shook her head. “No.” God, her voice sounded so raw and scratchy.

“Good,” he said, pulling her into his arms. Dylan lowered his head and captured her lips. He didn’t mean for the kiss to turn into such a thorough exploration of her mouth.

Hollis felt her knees grow weak as his mouth moved over hers, so slow and hot, stoking her passion. She gripped his upper arm with her free hand and nearly dropped the coffee clutched in her other. My God, this man knows how to kiss, she thought.

Dylan broke his mouth away from hers, breathing hard. Desire flashed in his dark eyes and he grabbed her, sliding his hands under her ass and hauling her up. Both coffee cups fell and spilled as Hollis wrapped her arms and legs around him, and he carried her back inside.

Tangled up in the sheet wrapped around her, they never made it to the bed. Dylan whirled around, pushing her back against the wall. His hands slid through her wavy hair and then his palms flattened against the wall on either side of her.

“Do you know what you do to me?” he panted, sucking her earlobe, grinding his hips upward.

She clung to him, legs squeezing around his waist, one hand dropping between them to unbutton his shorts and release him. His hard cock sprang free and he groaned as she wrapped her fingers around his hard length and began pumping him.

On the verge of losing his mind, Dylan shifted her weight, snatched her hand and lifted it up, holding it against the wall, lacing his fingers through hers.

Hollis circled her hips against him and pushed down. He was hot and throbbing, and he ground his hips up in answer. “Hang on, Doll,” he rasped. He grabbed a condom off the nearby table and tore it open. After last night, the little foil packets were scattered all over the room. Dylan unrolled it with hands that trembled with passion.

Then, Dylan lifted Hollis higher, repositioned her slick body and let her sink down onto him. She gasped at the sweet sting as he stretched and filled her, squeezing her muscles hard.

“Christ,” he swore, and began to pump his hips, heart thundering in his ears. Nothing had ever felt as goddamn delicious as her tight, little body.

The fiery intensity between them increased to a conflagration and all bets were off as they moved hard and fast, jostling against a table, slamming against the wall, all twisted up in the sheet as Dylan drove into her again and again.

Suddenly, Hollis felt her lower body clench in a powerful orgasm. Her back arched, her toes curled and she cried out as all the tension within her released and pulsed throughout her entire body in lingering waves. Dylan climaxed a second after her, exploding in sensations so intense that his legs shook.

Still wrapped up in each other and the sheet, they slid down to the floor, suspended in a state of bliss. Hollis blinked, a little dazed, and fell back against his chest.Oh, God,she thought. Once can be considered a lapse of judgement. A mistake. But, they had definitely left that first time far behind.

Even though she told him she didn’t regret last night, there was no excuse for this morning. Getting involved with Dylan Ford would either be the greatest thing to ever happen to her or the biggest mistake of her life.
