“Run,” he growls.

Blinking, I lie beside them as Andrew struggles to break free.

He looks down at my tormentor beneath him with disgust, then back at me.

Is he going to release Andrew?

Time slows as our eyes lock again.

“Run,” he roars, startling me.

The word echoes, bouncing from tree to tree.

I roll onto my stomach and scramble to my feet. Fear, terror, and hatred return double fold. Most of all, I feel anger. I thought he was here to help. I thought he cared and would save me.

Turning my head, I spit, “Fuck you.” Not waiting for a response, I run.

CHAPTER NINE

Ajax

My brows shoot up at her words, and a chuckle escapes me.

Little shit.

The piece of crap beneath me takes advantage of my distraction.

Shooting his elbow back, he connects with the side of my head hard enough to tilt me backward and loosen the grip I have on his head.

Well, that achieved nothing.

I’m still on his back. All he’s done is piss me off more. I was going to release him anyway.Dickhead.

My girl knew that, and that’s why she’s mad. She knows what’s coming.

Kind of,I smirk.

This piece of shit’s not getting anywhere near heragain. The only one who touches her from now on is me.

Glancing up, I see Lulu running through the trees. She’s pushing herself, and the distance between us is almost too much to bear.

After tonight, I’ll always be close, and on the few occasions that I’m not, she’ll be bound and gagged, waiting for me to come home. Until I can trust her not to run, she’ll never have a moment’s peace. I’ll own her—mind, body, and soul.

Every part of her being will crave me. She won’t want me to leave. More importantly, she won’t want to leave.

Lulu will be mine, just as much as I am hers. She doesn’t know it yet, but this woman owns me. I’ll do anything for her, and anything to keep her . . . which she’s about to find out.

This is going to be fun, my best kill yet.I smirk.

CHAPTER TEN

Lulu

I can’t help it. It’s like my body has a mind of its own as I twist and glance back. I should have learned the first time that nothing good comes from looking back.

It got me caught last time, and as I watch my camouflaged man release Andrew, I can’t help but think it’s going to do the same this time too.

My feet skid to a stop.
