With that, the two boys set off out of the park and made the short journey toward The Tap House. It was time to unwind. But if Dale thought that his day was winding down, he had another thing coming…

Chapter 8

Kipp

Kipp enjoyed his brief shift at The Hot Plate way more than he imagined he would. Sure, it was Marshall who was doing the bulk of the work, but Kipp enjoyed pitching in and taking control of the coffee making process. In fact, he even put his own twist on the coffee that he couldn’t wait to tell Max about upon his return.

But as much as Kipp had a surprisingly fun time at the diner, he knew that when his shift ended that he wasn’t cut out for that life in the long run. Far from it, in fact. Kipp’s place was on the ranch, showing his strength and building something for himself and hopefully the community too.

The fact that Kipp had struggled to remember any orders at the diner might also have played a part in his relief when the shift drew to a close.

Fortunately for Kipp, he had the perfect answer to shake out the cobwebs and get himself back on track…

Metal Work Gym was the place to be for any man or woman in Eagle Ridge who wanted to get in shape and stay that way.It was a welcoming environment where hard work, sweat, and good banter between the clientele was all par for the course.

The gym’s homely exterior might have given a certain impression of the place, but the interior was something else. Packed with the latest heavy lifting machines, squat racks, and miles upon miles of dumbbells, it truly catered for every need.

And when Kipp and his Daddy friends were there, the gym was loaded with even more testosterone than ever…

‘One… more… fucking… rep,’ Kipp grunted, pushing the barbell up and re-racking it, ably spotted by his friend Trey.

‘Hell yeah, brother,’ Trey said. ‘A three hundred and ninety five pounds bench press. Even I’m impressed. Hell, I think that might be a gym record.’

‘I don’t know about that,’ Kipp replied, taking a moment to compose himself. ‘But it’s not half bad for a dude in his forties, that’s for sure.’

Kipp and Trey fist-bumped one another and smiled.

It was Trey’s turn to get himself down on the bench and show what he could do. Trey was a great guy. The owner of The Tap House, Trey was in his early forties and had an eye for making money – especially if it had a connection to alcohol too. Trey had taken over The Tap House some years ago when it was on the verge of shutting down. But with plenty of hard work, hustle, and more than a little bit of risky investment too, Trey had brought it all the way back to its best.

The only thing missing from Trey’s life was a boy.

But with his mind focused on business, it seemed like for the time being at least he would need to lower his expectations offinding a Forever love and take any fun and frolics where he could get it.

‘You’ve got this,’ Kipp said, keeping an eagle eye on Trey as he attempted to match his previous bench press. ‘Keep fucking pushing. It’s coming. Nearly there. Nearly. Nearly. Hell yeah!’

Trey gratefully re-racked the bar after successfully lifting the same three-nine-five as Kipp had managed. The two of them were well matched physically, albeit Kipp’s outdoor work gave him the edge when it came to endurance.

‘Hey, looks like we’re both hitting the personal bests today,’ Trey said, his black tank top showing off his impressively boulder-esque shoulders. ‘And you know what I’m going to say next, right?’

Kipp laughed so loud that it briefly threatened to drown out the music pumping out of the gym’s sound system.

‘Does it have anything to do with sinking a few cold ones at your place?’ Kipp asked, knowing full well what Trey’s answer would be. ‘Because if it does, the answer’s yes.’

‘Let’s do it,’ Trey laughed. ‘Come on. We’ll shower and then haul our asses to my place. I’ve got a great new beer from Germany on this week. Trust me, you won’t believe how fucking refreshing it is.’

The two Daddies proceeded to walk from the gym floor and into the men’s locker room. As they began to strip down ahead of a shower, the subject soon turned to the spanking that Kipp had dished out to Dale…

‘Don’t get me wrong, it was all kinds of hot,’ Kipp said. ‘But the last thing I want to do is catch feelings for a boy who’s not even planning on sticking around.’

‘Tell me about it,’ Trey replied. ‘I haven’t come close to a relationship since my last love skipped town. I don’t hold any grudges. He had a great opportunity with Doctors Without Borders. I guess we just weren’t meant to be. But even his pretty damn good reason for leaving didn’t make it much easier to get over him.’

‘I know, I know,’ Kipp replied, now naked and standing proud next to Trey. ‘Boys, huh?’

‘Indeed,’ Trey replied. ‘But I need to know a little bit more about this spanking…’

‘I thought you would,’ Kipp laughed. ‘He’s got a great butt. Small, but juicy. There was plenty of wobbling going on when I brought my hand down, put it that way.’

‘Now we’re talking,’ Trey replied, his upper chest looking beefy and pumped after what was a tough training session. ‘Did he use his safeword?’
