“I don’t fucking know! Men breaking into the fucking property? Anyone other than us entering the fucking property! Nova fucking screaming for her life!” Ghost roars angrily. Bambi’s eyes go wide with fear.

“Ha, look at him. He even looks like a fucking deer caught in headlights.” Hawk laughs.

“Go, and if anything happens, call. If it’s a life or death situation, you lay down your fucking life for hers.” Ghost pauses. “Do you understand?” he asks. They both nod, but Bambi pauses, lifting a finger as if he’s about to ask a question. “I swear to fucking Christ, if you are about to ask me what constitutes as a life or death situation, I will show you my fucking self by putting a bullet between your fucking eyes!” Ghost roars.

Tiny grabs Bambi by the scruff of the neck and drags him out of the room for his own safety.

“Where did you get them?” Star asks, laughing. “Not the brightest.”

“Woman, I am close to losing my shit, so do not piss me off,” Ghost warns.

Star’s smile widens. Pissing Ghost off is her favourite thing to do. She stands in front of him, grabs his cut in her fists and stands on her tiptoes, yanking him closer and bringing hismouth down to hers. She breaks the kiss, whispering something in his ear that makes him smile.

She pats his chest and walks away. “Look after each other boys, and make sure you bring my man back in one piece,” she says as she walks into the kitchen.

We all look back to Ghost. “What?” he asks. “Stop staring at me. Let’s fucking go!” he yells.

“So how quick are we killing this fucker?” I ask as I walk outside with him.

“After what Star just promised me for when I get back, pretty fucking quickly.” He smiles.

I laugh and slap him on the back before I get on my bike and start her up. “Once we’ve got him, you can go back. I wouldn’t mind playing with him for a little while, and I’m sure Rage is more than willing to get creative,” I shout over the sound of our bikes.

“I’ve got my set with me.” Rage nods.

I smile at Ghost who just shakes his head. No one understands him, the loyal fucking psycho.

We ride for only twenty minutes until we reach the motel. All of us ride into the parking lot, blocking the exit with our bikes.

The motel manager comes out, his eyes wide with fear. “Uh, we are fully booked,” he stutters.

“Easy sir, we ain’t checking in. We are simply here to retrieve someone,” Beast states.

The guy nods, adjusting his glasses. “Okay, can I ask who?” he asks.

“His name’s Dean and he is in room 28,” Ghost states.

The manager nods as he grabs his huge ring of keys, sifting through them until he finds the right one. “Here it is,” he breathes with a sigh of relief.

Hawk takes the keys, and as he places his other hand down on his shoulder, he looks down at his name badge. “Thanks Ned.Now, why don’t you go and take a little break out the back while we speak to our friend in number 28?” Hawk suggests, giving Ned’s shoulder a little squeeze.

“Er.” He pauses, fiddling with his glasses. “Yes, right. I was due a break anyway,” he says nervously, smiling before he scurries off back to his office.

“Over there, far corner,” I say, pointing to the room.

“Let’s go. We get him, chuck him in the back of the truck and get out. Keep it clean until we have no witnesses,” Ghost warns. Rage, Cash, Beast, and Hawk all stay by the truck, looking out while Ghost, Acid, and I walk up to the room. As we reach the top step, Acid pauses, holding up his hand.

“Give me a cigarette,” he orders, holding out his hand.

I hand him my packet, frowning. “This ain’t no fucking time for a smoke break,” Ghost snaps.

Acid lights the cigarette, inhaling before he bends down and blows across the walkway. A faint line appears. “It’s a set-up,” Acid states. “Get the fuck out of here now,” he warns.

We turn and head back down the stairs, but before we can reach the bottom step, a loud explosion erupts above us. We dive forward, landing on the ground.

“Cover you head!” Acid yells. I tuck my head under my arms as the rubble from the building falls on us. Car alarms ring out, followed by a thick cloud of smoke surrounding us.

“Ghost! Acid!” I call out. My ears are ringing loudly from the blast.
