“Like fuck it doesn’t matter!” I roared. I jumped to my feet. “I’ll kill them. I’ll rip them limb from limb and make them regret the day they were born.” My entire body shook from the adrenaline that suddenly shot through my body.

Leo pressed a warm palm against my chest, and I immediately felt calmer. I gripped his wrist, brought his hand to my mouth, and pressed a kiss against the inside. “Don’t ever afraid to be yourself, baby.”

A knock at the door had us both jumping apart. Leo flushed as he giggled and leaned into me, my arm wrapping around his waist. He belonged here. Tucked against me, right in this spot. I wasn’t sure how I had been so stupid to let him go, but that wasn’t about to happen again. I’d marry Leo tomorrow if he’d let me.

“I don’t mean to eavesdrop, Andrew, but is everything okay?” Dad’s strained voice carried through the wood.

I coughed loudly. “Yeah, Dad, we’re fine. We’re figuring out some things.” I turned to look down at Leo, whose eyes were wide.

“Do you think they heard?”he mouthed, and I barked out a laugh.

“I hope that’s a good thing,” Dad said.

Leo beamed. “It’s the best thing.”

Chapter Twenty-Two

Andy

I woke with Leo’s body blanketed over mine, his warmth wrapped around me like a sweet, safe bubble. After Dad sighed dramatically, hummed and hawed how his baby wouldn’t spend any time with him, Leo and I happily went downstairs to watch a movie with my parents. Cuddled up on the couch together, we ate snacks and held hands, and my dad didn’t even try to hide his smug smile. I smoothed the hair on the back of Leo’s head, breathing him in. He was leaving soon, and my belly clenched at the thought. Staying here at home was probably the best idea, but I had already lost so much time with him. I didn’t want to lose any more.

“Morning.” Leo blinked up at me with sleep still in his eyes. He smiled as he leaned up to smack a kiss against my mouth. “You get any sleep?”

I tapped my lips to change the subject. “Another one.”

“Mm, you bet.”

Leo hummed, and this time, when his mouth met mine, I opened for him. He dragged his tongue across my bottom lip before I sucked it inside. When I flipped us, Leo squealed and giggled happily.

“I’m going to miss you, baby.” I brushed the raven-colored hair from his forehead as his blue eyes searched my eyes.

Leo gave me a small smile. “I’m going to miss you, too. But like I said before, it’s only until Monday. We can text and video chat. You won’t even notice that I’m gone. Besides, I thought we agreed you’d spend some quality time with Maverick and Jackson.”

“Did we?” I smirked, and he giggled again. I had missed that sound.

Leo kissed me again before wiggling out from beneath me. “I need to wash up and go home. I need to pack a couple of things for the race, then get to the shop before we head out.” He held out his hand. “Shower with me.”

Like I would ever resist seeing him naked and wet. I followed Leo to the ensuite bathroom and watched as he stripped off his clothes and turned on the water. I let my gaze move over his smooth, creamy skin, taking in the way his muscles bunched and moved as he twisted on the facet. He glanced over his shoulder and caught me watching. His body flushed pink.

“Getting a good look?” Leo asked.

“Just enjoying what’s mine,” I teased. He turned even redder.

He huffed. “Am I the only one getting naked here?” Leo waved a hand at me. “Come on, hon, show me the goods.”

“Gladly.” I reached behind me to yank off my shirt, tossing it onto the floor, then quickly kicked off my sweats. “Happy now?”

My cock was already plumped up between my legs. All that naked, beautiful skin and the blinding smile that belonged to the man I loved always caught my attention.

Leo nodded. “Very.” He carefully stepped into the shower, crooked his finger at me, and giggled when I nearly face planted into the tub behind him in my excitement.

“This was one of my favorite memories of us,” I confessed, watching as the water cascaded down Leo’s head and over his shoulders. I pushed his wet hair back from his face. “All those mornings we were nearly late for school because we were too busy exploring one another.”

Leo’s plump lips curved up into a smile. “And a few times we skipped all together just so we could spend the day wrapped up in one another.”

Like I could forget.

“You’re stunning just like this, baby,” I murmured. “Can I wash you?”
