He giggled as I moved him from my lap, climbed to my feet, and helped him do the same. The second we were close enough to my parents, Dad wiggled in Pop’s arms, and then hurried toward us once Pop let him down.

“You did good, kiddo.” Dad ruffled my hair playfully. He wrapped his arms around both Leo and me, his grip tight and comforting. “I love you both so much.”

I returned his embrace. “I love you, too, Dad.” I looked over at Pop and waved him over. “Both of you.”

“Oh, my fucking God!” Ezra exclaimed, his voice echoing across the ice. “I can’t believe you did that. That was the most romantic thing ever. Oh, goodness, there’s going to be another wedding to plan.” He stopped and grabbed Parker’s hand. “You see what you’ve become a part of? How wonderful and amazing they all are? It’s just the perfect friends and family.”

Parker turned bright red as they nodded.

“You’re scaring them, Ez.” Lucas folded his arms over his massive chest.

Ezra’s brows dipped. “That’s not what I’m doing. I just... I am so lucky to have such amazing friends and family, and I want Lucas to see that. Even if you two just stay friends, Parker, you’ll still be a part of this.”

“Princess.” Carson sighed. “Come here and leave them alone.”

Ezra pouted before he broke into a smile and quickly moved to hug his husband. “Seth, babe, did Saint catch all of that?”

“I did!” Saint’s voice emerged from Seth’s phone. “So, so sweet.”

“Leo.” Noel’s voice was low and stern as he stepped toward us on the ice. Oh shit, was he going to tell me he wouldn’t accept our marriage? That he wouldn’t stand beside us and let us be together? Should I have asked him first?

I swallowed. “Sir, I...”

Noel wrapped his arms around his brother, and I felt myself relax a little. I might always be worried that he was watching me, but he obviously didn’t hate me as much as I thought he did. Or as much as he should have.

Dad brushed the hair back from my forehead. “You know your father proposed to me here.”

“Wait, he did?” Leo gasped. “I knew he asked you after a game, but here?”

Pop nodded. “Right over there.” He pointed toward where the twins stood with RJ. “I got down on one knee, in my suit, and told him I couldn’t live without him. That he was everything to me.”

“Then it’s kismet.” Leo smiled at me as he untangled himself from his brother. “Your parents are happily in love and that only means we’re going to be just the same.”

Noel grunted. “I mean, what am I? Seth and I proposed to Wyatt on the ice, too, you know.”

“Mac.” Wyatt chuckled, and Seth soon joined him.

Leo hugged his brother again. “You’re the coolest, most awesome, best brother there is. That’s what you are.”

Suddenly, the lights overhead flashed and began beaming multiple colors over the ice. Soft music echoed through the speakers, and when I looked at Pop, he winked at me. He jutted his chin toward Leo.

“Ricky.” I held out my hand. “Let’s celebrate.”

Leo linked his fingers through mine and let me lead him back onto the ice. We moved in a slow dance together, his eyes never leaving mine. I knew I had made a lot of mistakes over the past couple of years. I broke Leo’s heart, but I would spend the rest of my life repairing it and showing him how much I loved him.

Chapter Forty-Eight

Leo

Then

Andy had barely taken his eyes off me. I saw the desire and heat in them as he helped me lace up my skates, the want and lust that had flashed across his face. Clearly, I had chosen the perfect outfit for our date tonight. It was a comfortable green sweater that clung to my chest and back right above the top of my jeans. Every time I moved the right way, it gave Andy a glimpse of my stomach. A sliver of skin that seemed to call to him like a beacon. It wasn’t like Andy hadn’t seen me naked before, but tonight felt different. Like maybe we were ready for that next step.

“Hi.” I felt myself grow warm in the cool arena, goosebumps breaking out over my skin.

Andy smiled. “Hi.” He helped me to my feet and then onto the ice.

Maverick was sitting a few rows up, pretending he wasn’t watching when we both knew he was. He had his Kindle open before him, the light flashing over his face as he read his latest romance novel.
