She pointed at the wine glass Amy had dropped.

“That's the glass she was drinking out of.”

“So this is the last wine she had, yes?” Konstantin asked, holding up the glass and matching it with the bottle.

“Yes,” she nodded and was about to run out when she saw Lev charge into the VIP section.

“What the hell is going on here?” Lev asked, striding to her and cupping her face with both hands. “Are you okay? Are you hurt?”

“I am fine. I want to go with her,” Zia cried, trying to wiggle free of Lev's grip. “I need to know that she is fine.”

“Kostya, go after the guys. Make sure Amy is taken care of,” Lev instructed, not letting Zia out of his grip.

Konstantin held up the glass and the bottle of wine Amy had been drinking.

“Someone spiked her drink, Chief.”

“What?” Lev took the glass from Konstantin and inhaled it. His eyes grew red with rage. “Did you drink that wine, Zia?” he asked, still cupping her face in his palm with one hand.

She shook her head tearfully and he let out a breath.

“Kostya, forget Amy. Take her home. Make sure the house is well-guarded. I’ll take care of things here.”

“No!” Zia protested. “I have to get to Amy, please.”

Lev ignored her pleas and pulled his phone out. He called someone. “Adrian, get over here.”

Adrian must’ve asked what happened because Lev said, “I’m at club Noelle. Someone tried to kill my wife, and they better pray to God I don’t find out who they are.”

Chapter 23 - Lev

“Cillian made his move,” Lev said, his fist tight with rage. “It’s time I make mine.”

“As much as I’m dying to put a bullet through that motherfucker’s skull, we’re not ready for war yet,” Adrian countered, logical as always. “We need to strategize before we attack.”

Ivan snorted, but there was no amusement in his eyes. There was rage and a thirst for blood. “You’re too smart for your own good, brother. Zia is family, and he attacked her. There is no time to strategize. We need to attack now.”

Lev agreed with Ivan. There was no time to sit around and wait for Cillian to make another move. He might have missed this time, but there was no telling what would happen if he was allowed to attack again.

But there was one thing that disturbed him the most. The poisoning had been an inside job. Cillian had somehow known his every move before the meeting with the other mafia bosses, and now this. Someone among his men was working for the enemy and he needed to find out who it was.

“Does Mikhail know about this?” Adrian asked.

“No, he’s with his family. I don’t need him here. I’ll never forgive myself if something happens to him.”

Mikhail loved his family, which included his brothers. He wouldn’t hesitate to go into the battlefield for them, but Lev couldn’t let him. He didn’t plan to tell him anything about this until it was over.

The door opened and Ilya entered the office, holding a man by the collar of his white shirt. The man was so badly beatenup that his eyes were swollen, and his skin had turned purple and green.

Ilya tossed the man to the feet of Lev’s desk. “I found the traitor, Chief.”

Lev’s gaze bounced between Ilya and the man whimpering on the floor. “The traitor?”

“I had a chip installed on all their phones after the meeting. This one seemed odd. He eavesdropped on your conversations and hid away to make shady calls. I caught him trying to board a ship with his family.”

Lev tilted his head. So this was the mole. “Where is his family?”

“They’re being held in one of the VIP rooms. What would you have me do with them?” Ilya asked.
