She glances away. “Nothing.”

I grasp her chin and force her to meet my gaze. “Don’t lie to me.”

“I’m not lying to you. And, even if I were, it’s none of your business.”

“Wrong. You are my business.”

She rolls her eyes. “Being my brother’s best friend does not make us family.”

“We’re not family but you are my business.”

Her eyes flare and she licks her lips. Her gaze drops to my mouth and I realize I’m caressing her cheek. I drop my hand. “It’s my job to look out for you.”

“I’m not a job.”

She pushes me away and I allow it. I need to keep my hands off of Sophia. I don’t want to give her the wrong impression. Yes, I want her. But I will never act on those desires. It’d be cruel to let her think otherwise.

“I need some water.” She finds a glass in the cupboard and fits it under the water dispenser on the refrigerator.

“Wait!” I shout but it’s too late.

Instead of water pouring into her glass, it spurts straight forward onto her chest. She squeaks as she jumps away from the fridge. I rush to her and catch her glass before it falls to the floor.

“I’m soaked.”

She’s not soaked but her blouse is. Her white blouse is now see-through allowing me a glimpse of her lacy, white bra and her hard nipples.

My cock perks up again. I couldn’t tell him to calm down now if I wanted to. Not when he’s viewing the object of his desire.

“I need to change,” Sophia breathes out. But she doesn’t move. Her chest heaves as she stands in front of me allowing me to drink my fill.

I grunt. All my blood is currently rushing south robbing me of the ability to speak.

She steps closer. “Maybe you want to help.”

My hand lifts and I reach for her. Why am I denying her? Why am I denying myself?

“No one has to know.”

I growl and step back. “You are no one’s dirty little secret.”

Her shoulders droop. “And you don’t want me.” I open my mouth to speak but she holds up a hand. “Don’t say it. I don’t need to hear it again. The first time you explained how you will always consider me a little sister is already tattooed on my brain.”

She rushes out of the room and up the stairs. When I hear the door slam, I can breathe for the first time since she strutted into the room in those high heels.

Sophia is a temptress. I need to stay away from her before my control snaps. Starting now. I grab my keys and hurry out of the house.
