“What were you making?” I asked as he stopped in front of me.

“I told you, a flake. It’s an Irish dish that I’ve been wanting to try.”

“Right,” I nodded, with a smidge of suspicion.

“Don’t you have an appointment with Wren you need to be getting to?” he asked as he leaned against the doorway of the linen closet, towering over me.

All thoughts of my dad and the salon flew out of my mind when his eyes traveled over me from head to toe.

“You’re looking especially hot this morning,” he murmured, nudging closer.

Wren took that moment to make an appearance at the base of the stairs. “Are you ready, Kat? We are going to be late,” she said, looking at her phone.

I looked down at her. “Um… yeah, just give me a minute.” I turned to face Rory, “Dad is making some awful noises, I thought maybe Connor was in there with him,” I explained as he ran the back of his hand over my cheek. If he didn’t stop soon, there wasn’t going to be any hair appointment because I was ready to drag him off to bed so that I could have my way with him.

He dropped his hand. “Huh… Well, let’s go check on him.”

We made our way to Tomas’ door and stood outside for a minute. Silence greeted our ears.

“Maybe he was dreaming?” Rory whispered.

I shrugged. “Maybe.”

We turned to walk away, and that’s when we heard a loud bump.

“Good lord he must have fallen out of the bed,” I stated, turning back to face the door.

Rory wasn’t waiting outside this time. The first thing we saw as the door slowly opened was a tablelamp on the floor. As he pushed it open further, we both got an eyeful.

Because dear old Dad wasn’t sleeping. Nor was he laying on the floor. He was standing by his bed. His ass was pumping back and forth as Iris, Rory’s mom, laid spreadeagled upon it. The old man was pounding the fuck out of her.

We both froze and spoke at once.

Rory retched. “Oh, my fucking god, my eyes!!”

“Dear God, that is horrifying!! I did not just see that!” I said, as I grabbed the door handle and closed the door.

Rory grabbed me by the arms and pulled me from the scene.

“We didn’t see a fucking thing, right?” he said.

I nodded and shook my head at the same time. “Nope. Not a thing.”

“Good, he will forget about it in about an hour anyway. Let’s hope this doesn’t become a thing.”

I burst out laughing. “And if it does? I mean, is it really so wrong?”

“Depends on who initiated it.”

I snorted. “Well, it looked like your mom was enjoying herself, and it’s not like she was on top.”

“Right,” he started gagging again as we madeour way down the stairs. “You better get going.” He said as he handed me off to Wren.

“What the fuck Rory! Are you sick or something?” Wren asked as she put her phone in her purse.

He held up a hand as he swallowed. “I’m good. You two have fun.” He waved as we headed out the door.
