“I really appreciate you bringing me home,” Cashea said. She reached down for her heavy bag and brought it up onto her lap. She motioned to her house. “Want to come in for a nightcap?”

His gaze flicked to hers. He ran a hand along his face and stared at her. His brain was screaming no, while his cock was hollering yes.

“Cashea…”

“Just one drink. At least let me thank you properly. If not a drink, then maybe something else. I made a cake yesterday. Let me give you a piece. I made it from scratch.” She tilted her head to the side to study him.

Even in the low light, Draven saw there was more than drinks and cake being offered. Her lips were curled up into a sexy grin.

Should he take her up on it? He couldn’t offer much but one hell of a night.

His gaze fell to her shoulder where one of those damn straps slipped off to the side.

“Sure. Cake sounds good.”

“Great!” Hergrin widened.

He cut the engine and slipped out of the truck. He walked around the front of the vehicle and came to her door. He opened it and helped her down. Her body brushed his on the way down. She was trapped between him and the truck. He softly shut the door, not wanting it to slam. She tilted her head back to meet his gaze. He stood about six three while the top of her head barely came to his mid chest.

“Do you like chocolate?” Cashea asked. There was an upward tilt to the way she asked her question.

Her husky voice sent a electric bolt of lightning through Draven. He didn’t step back away from her. He knew he should have, but he liked the feeling of her soft body pressed against his. His life for the past few years had been filled with the harshness of reality most civilians would never know about. He needed to touch her. Feel her. His eyes were drawn to her full lips.

He swallowed hard from the images of them wrapped around his cock. Fuck. She’d asked him a question. Her head was tilted to her side as she waited for his answer. Did he like chocolate? The image of her thighs floated back to theforefront of his mind.

“I do.”

Cashea’s lips curled up into her sexy grin. She took his hand in hers and guided him toward her house. The sway of her hips was mesmerizing. She looked over her shoulder at him as if to make sure he hadn’t disappeared.

Draven wasn’t going anywhere but wherever she was leading him.

Chapter Five

Cashea would be the first to admit she had lost all of her marbles. She’d never propositioned a guy who she had just met for sex. Draven was the epitome of sexiness, and she wanted him. There was nothing wrong with a woman going after a man she desired. In this day and age, a woman could do what and who she pleased.

And right now, she wanted Draven.

She hadn’t lied to him. She had baked a cake from scratch yesterday, but she couldn’t help but tease him a little and ask if he liked chocolate. She bit back a giggle knowing that had been her sneaky little way of asking if he liked Black women. Theway his eyes had narrowed on her, he knew exactly what she was asking.

And his answer didn’t disappoint.

His large hand engulfed hers as she led them up the few steps to her home. She paused in front of the door and remembered she needed to get her keys. She bit back a groan at the feel of his body pressing against hers. It was hard and toned in all of the right places.

Lord, help me.

Cashea bit her lip and reached into her bag to search for her house keys. She didn’t want to release his hand. He might come to his senses and change his mind.

“You need some help?” Draven’s deep voice broke through her thoughts.

Her fingers connected with her keychain. She pulled it out and held them up. She spun around and grinned.

“Nope. Found them.” She turned back to the door and slipped her key in. She pushed open the door and was thankful she’d remembered to leave her lamp on in the living room. “Welcome to my home.”

She stepped inside and finally let his hand go.Draven followed behind her and closed the door. Cashea didn’t miss the sound of the lock engaging. Now that he was in her home, there was a flutter of butterflies deep in her belly. She kicked her shoes off and waved for him to go with her down the short hallway. He toed off his boots and strolled behind her.

“You have a nice home,” he drawled.

They entered the living room, and for once she was glad she hadn’t left her normal mess of blankets, books, and stuff in there.
