“Hi.”

His dark eyes marveled my body taking in my lavender track leggings and lavender tight top.

“Are you here for an appointment?”

I smiled. “No.” I raised the bag to eye level.

“I’m bringing a friend lunch. Are you looking for a patient?”

He flashed his white teeth, running a hand over his low-cut black waves.

“No. You caught my eye. What is your name?”

“Malaysia.”

“I’m Dr. Harper Stephens.” He stretched his hand out.

I placed mine in his. “It is nice to meet you.”

“Can I call you sometime? Maybe go out on a date?”

I blushed.

“Dr. Stephens?” a voice called in the distance.

He glanced over his shoulder. “Hey, Dr. Daniels!” They both shook hands.

Two powerful men standing in their stark white doctor coats. It was sexy.

“Hello, Malaysia.” Ethan smiled.

My voice was caught in my throat. I couldn’t speak.

My heart fluttered at his sexy smile. Ethan had grown a beard since I’d last seen him.

“Dr. Stephens, do you know Malaysia?”

Dr. Stephens smiled and those flirting eyes didn’t leave mine. “I was making an effort to get to know her.”

I cleared my throat. “Dr. Stephens, I’m flattered. But right now, isn’t the best time in my life to date.

Ethan, I brought you lunch.” I placed the bag in his hand.

“Thanks.”

Dr. Stephens laughed. “I didn’t realize you were here to see Dr. Daniels.”

I glanced between the two men. “Oh, no! Not like that. I’m not dating Ethan. We are just friends. Right, Ethan?” I stared into his eyes.

“Yeah, yeah, right, we are just friends. We go way back.” He winked.

Ethan was flirting with me in front of Dr. Stephens.

Dr. Stephens smiled, staring into my eyes again. “Ok, good. Well, maybe I’ll see you around here again, then we can have that date.”

I blushed. “Yes, maybe.”

“All right, Malaysia, you have a good afternoon.”
