I was so disoriented I thought for a moment that this was some kind of wild dream I was having. I blinked twice, confirming that they were indeed sniffing my every body part. Davy was literally smelling my armpits while Rufus was sniffing my pussy.

“Good morning, beautiful,” rumbled Wayne.

“What the hell are you guys doing?” I asked, suddenly aware that I hadn’t showered since yesterday’s fair and our wild romp last night.

The two alphas exchanged confused glances before Wayne’s face broke into a smile. “Ruby, I believe that you’re pregnant,” he said.

Shock washed over me, and I was instantly awake.

“Wait, what? How the hell would you even know that?” I demanded, my heart pounding in my chest.

“Some alphas can smell when an omega’s scent changes evenslightly,” Wayne explained, his tone confident. “It might be too early for a pregnancy test to pick up on it, but I’m pretty sure.”

“Oh damn,” Davy said, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “She’s going to look so cute while pregnant.”

“Are you sure, Wayne?" Rufus asked, his voice slow and deliberate. “We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves.”

“Don’t believe me then,” said Wayne as he stretched in the nest. “Damn, we need to make our omega a bigger nest, huh? My legs are fuckin’ cramped.”

“Look, I’m not believing anything until I take a pregnancy test. And right now, I need a shower,” I announced, desperate for a moment alone to process this bombshell. There’s no way he could tell if I was pregnant. My scent changed because I was sweaty as hell from the fair yesterday, that’s all.

“Want some company?” Rufus asked.

“I’m sorry, but I need some time alone,” I said, hoping not to offend him since all he’d ever shown me was care and love. Rufus nodded and kissed me softly on the lips before releasing me. I felt his growing emotions from the kiss, and I blushed unwittingly, feeling the heat rise in my cheeks as I rushed to the bathroom.

Leaning against the bathroom sink, I stared into the mirror, searching for some sign of the life Wayne believed was growing inside me. But all I saw was my flat belly and firm breasts, knowing in just a few months, I would never look the same. Was it possible that Wayne could be wrong?I gently touched my belly, contemplating the possibility of a baby on the way, and tears welled up in my eyes as I grew emotional.

A baby would change my life forever.

After a long, steamy shower, I emerged wearing only a white towel around my breasts. Davy sat on the edge of the bed, dressed in jeans and a shirt, holding out a pink pregnancy test as if he’d been waiting there the entire time for me.

“Where is everyone?” I asked.

“Wayne and Rufus are in the spare room,” Davy replied just as I heard the whir of a screwdriver. Curiosity piqued, I lookedinto the room to find Wayne already building a crib with Rufus’ help.

“Are you seriously doing this right now?” I exclaimed in disbelief when I saw the mess of all the crib parts on the ground. “You’re all being ridiculous. We’re not having a baby.”

“Better to be prepared, Ruby,” Wayne said calmly, not looking up from his task and hard at work preparing for this phantom baby.

Shaking my head, I retreated to the bathroom to take the test.

Setting the timer on my phone, I busied myself by blow-drying my hair while waiting for the results. When the timer finally went off, my heart raced. Flipping the stick over, I blinked back tears as the word 'pregnant' stared back at me, clear as day.

My mind felt hazy as I returned to the bedroom, clutching the positive test.

“Ruby, are you okay?” Davy asked genuine concern in his voice.

“I…I always wanted to start a business. I wanted to have something before I mated with a pack,” I admitted, my lips trembling.

“Hey, we’ll never hold you back. We’ll do whatever we can to help you,” Davy said earnestly, and I looked at him with a newfound appreciation. We talked for a few minutes about my dream of opening a café or a service for omegas, and my heart felt lighter.

“I feel a little better now after talking to you,” I said as we held hands tightly.

“I’m glad I helped,” Davy said, smiling warmly, but as we looked into each other’s eyes, my stomach clenched from shyness.

I drew closer to him.

His scent flooded my senses as I leaned in, planting a soft, hesitant kiss on his lips. Davy wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me in closer. His lips tasted like sweet citrus, and I suddenly couldn’t get enough of him.
