I realized with horror that more alphas on patrol were stopping us.
“What’s your name, son?” asked one of the alphas.
I scrambled to right myself, feeling embarrassed that they might’ve caught me sucking off an alpha’s dick while he drove. I was still horny, and I craved release as I watched Jasper pull out his identification card.
“Jasper, where are you going with this fine young omega?” asked the alpha cop.
“I just want to take her out on a vacation,” said Jasper blithely. I bit my lower lip, trying to remain poker-faced as much as possible.
“Has she been claimed by a pack?”
“No.”
“Ma’am, what is your name?” asked one of theofficers.
My heart started to beat faster as I leaned past Jasper to answer them, “Ruby, sir.”
He paused for a moment, looking at the screen in his hand. I wondered if he had a database of names in there and of omegas they were keeping captive forever in the compound. I started feeling like I might hyperventilate if I was stuck a minute here longer.
I closed my eyes, praying he would just let us leave.
“Alright, nothing seems out of place,” said the officer slowly as he scanned our faces. I could smell Jasper’s sweat from his nervousness. “You may leave, and here’s your permit for a one-week vacation. Nothing more than that, or you’ll be facing jail time.”
Jasper nodded as he took the yellow slip from the officer. He quietly rolled the window up and started driving intently, looking straight ahead for the first ten minutes.
“Well, they let us go,” I said, letting out a sigh of relief.
He turned and gave me a crooked smile, “For now, until they come after us. But I’ll make sure we end up far away from here.”
He turned on the music and held my hand as he drove. I leaned back, content but also nervous about our new lives. Suddenly feeling sleepy, I yawned and began drifting off into dreamland.
“Ruby, wake up,”said Jasper. I felt him gently tap my arm, and I opened my eyes in the dark, not realizing I had fallen asleep in the car.
“Oh, where are we?” I asked groggily, looking around. We were in complete darkness except for the lights of the building before us. Looking at the time on the dashboard, I saw that it was four a.m. We had been on the road for hours.
“I made reservations at a motel so you can sleep properly,”said Jasper. “I hope you don’t mind. We’re in the human world now. No packs.”
“Oh shit,” I exclaimed, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. Fleeting panic went through me. “What if my family finds out?”
“What’s the worst they could do?”
“This is pretty much unforgivable to walk away from a pack meant to marry me.”
“I’ll protect you,” said Jasper, holding my hand. His touch sent immediate flutters through my belly. “Why don’t we go inside and get some sleep? By morning, you’ll be able to think more clearly.”
I yawned, “You’re probably right.”
While we walked toward the motel, I reached out to grab his hand. He smiled, kissing my hand.
“Can’t wait until we get into bed together,” he said, and another flutter of excitement made my middle throb with each step toward the building. “I want to feel your body against mine for the first time.”
“I’ve dreamt of it for…years,” I admitted, smiling shyly as I stared at the lobby after entering through the automatic sliding door.
“Good,” he growled, squeezing my hand tighter, and I wished his hand was between my legs instead.
“Hi! How can I help you today?” asked the male receptionist, scrunching his nose when we got closer. I was mortified that the smell was coming from me. My omega scent was extra strong right now since I was reeking of arousal and dying to be with the alpha I’ve always craved from afar.
“I booked a room,” said Jasper.
