“Every night, they’re getting more aggressive, and it would be nice to have some help with that,” I ended lamely. It was a last-ditch effort for protection. “But my aunt gets nervous around people, so I don’t want her to see or meet you guys, or she’ll make us move.”
The true reason was that if I introduced her to these alphas, she would have a full-blown panic attack. And they’d discover that she was an omega.
“Agreed then,” he said, sticking his hand out to shake mine.
My heart pounded hard in my chest, shocked at his quick answer as I shook his hand. He kept my hand in his as he led me out of the library.
Second thoughts ran through my mind.Was I doing the right thing by agreeing to this contract?
His massive hand was hot around my small, cold one. I started to wonder how his entire body would feel against mine because a simple hand holding like this was already driving me crazy again.
We were alone in his office as he placed the paper before me.
“There are rules?” I asked, looking down the list.
“All basic stuff, but I’ll read the main ones to you,” said Zaff. “You will agree to be ours and no one else during the duration of the contract. Any member of the pack will haveaccess to you in whichever state you are in. Even if you’re sleeping.”
“What?” I asked, my heart pounding with shock. I never thought in a million years I’d even consider this. “What else?”
“If you’d like us to stop at any time, you are free to let us know, and your protection will stop,” he said. “Hmm, besides that- there’s nothing else.”
“Is there a safe word or something?” I asked, needing everything to be crystal clear. I needed to know what I was getting into.
“We can go withdonut.”
“Um, okay, cool,” I said. “Easy enough to remember.”
He handed me the pen, and I could see his chest pumping eagerly. Even though he was a strict alpha, I could easily tell when he was excited deep down. I wondered if he would immediately knot me after this.
I held the pen over the signature line, my hand shaking.
“Having any doubts?” he inquired, watching me closely as I took in another deep breath.
I wondered if I should tell him that I was a virgin, but that would change his mind, and we wouldn’t have his protection from the rogue alpha pack.
Pressing pen to paper, I licked my lips as I slowly signed my name in black ink.
“Done,” I said, breathing hard as he took the paper from me and studied my signature. His lips twitched into a small smile.
“You’re mine now,” he said, setting the paper back down. Coming around the table, he leaned over me as I sat on the chair. I shivered as he brought his mouth close to my ear.
“Wait, when do we get protection from you?” I asked in a shaky voice. “You need to do your end of the deal.”
“I honor all my promises,” he said darkly as he nibbled myearlobe. “It will start tonight. But tomorrow, all the fun with us will begin.”
Oh shit.
I had signed the form, and now I was trapped serving these alphas no matter what. I was going to have to serve with my body now, and the thought terrified me. I had zero to no experience with men, and every little touch from the alphas turned me into a pile of mush.
Later that night,Jeff dropped me off in front of the trailer, and upon seeing my aunt screaming at six men on our porch, I immediately rushed out of the vehicle.
The six men were the hired bodyguards, and I quickly put a hand on my aunt’s arm.
“Auntie, it’s fine,” I said.
“What do you mean?” she asked, her eyes wild with fear. “What the hell are they doing here?”
“I asked for protection from my job,” I said quickly. “It’s one of the perks of working there, and I decided to use it so we’re not left vulnerable.”
