Thenextday,Sergioparked in front of my parent’s house. I had argued with him for the last ten minutes of the drive not to come inside with me, but he was insistent on walking me to my room.

“Are you sure you want to come inside with me?” I asked, twirling my fingers on my lap.

“And who gave you permission?” I said, stripping off my clothes. Then, in a harsh whisper, “My mom is in the next room. We can’t do this here!”
