My heart beat faster when he looked at me like that. For the first time, he looked like he was being serious.
I was seriously doubting my ability to read people now.
“And I feel the same way,” said Lucas, stopping on my other side. My arms were crossed over the pool's edge as I floated between them in the water.
“Lucas, you never even talk to me,” I said, shocked.
Did Ryder put them up to this? To butter me up so I could be their pack’s omega?
