“But Gray…what about the cookout and all those people.”

“Those people are our friends and family. They won’t be surprised at all that I’m up here making you happy while they are down there celebrating, love. They won’t be shocked at all.”

The sounds of the cookout carry through the house to us, but we pay it no attention as we come together and show one another all we mean to each other. And all we dream about doing together. I'm not sure how I found this love with Grayson but I do know it is the sweetest treat I could ever be given.

Epilogue

Bonny

A Couple of Months Later

I’m a hot mess of hormones and waterworks as I get ready. I can’t really explain why. This is everything I ever wanted. Grayson has made sure that this day would be perfect for me. He even made sure my day started the perfect way…with him between my legs, even if we were supposed to spend the night apart.

We’ve already been to two weddings this year, Candy married Storm and Storm’s sweet aunt -who basically adopted all of us- married her man. She made us all maids of honor and Storm walked her down the aisle. It was beautiful. I cried then too, but not like this.

“You okay, hon?”

I nod and instead of asking questions, Candy just comes over and hugs me. She gets me. But out of nowhere another set of arms are wrapping around me. Lolly. All of us have a good laugh/cry. All we’ve accomplished in a matter of months is… a little overwhelming honestly.

“I’m so proud of you, Bonny.” My eyes start to sting again at Candy’s words.

Lolly nods her head emphatically.

“I love you guys so much. I couldn’t ask for better big sisters.” I mean every word from the bottom of my heart.

“We love you. No one brightens our day like you, Bonbon.” Lolly gives me another hug. I swear she’s glowing in her maid of honor’s dress. Actually, she’s been glowing a lot lately. Me and Candy think she’s secretly seeing someone, but she isn’t ready to tell anyone just yet.

“Um, can I…”

“I’m so glad our babies are going to be close.”

Both Candy and Lolly speak at the same time. Lolly speaking so softly that we almost didn’t hear her.

“I’m pregnant.”

Me and Candy turn to look at one another with identical expressions and perfectly round mouths. Lolly sags with relief like she’s been stressed about keeping it from us.

Me and Candy still have our mouths open, but I chose to look on the bright side of this. “Yeah! You can have your baby with us! We will all raise them together. Oh, and make one of the rooms above the shop that Storm isn’t using as an office a nursery.”

“Um, Lolly… are you happy about this?”

Lolly gets a far away look in her eyes like she might be thinking…about the father. Neither of us want to ask her who it is. She’ll tell us when she’s ready just like with the pregnancy.

“I don’t know.” Lolly is so upbeat and always so strong that it’s odd to see her chin start to wobble and tears pool in her eyes.

“It’s alright. We’ll help you. You don’t have to worry about anything, sweetie.”

I look to Candy who is nodding in agreement.

“Does, um, your mom and dad know? Just so we know to keep it a secret and watch what we say around them, not to judge you or push you into anything if they don't.”

“I know you girls would never judge me. And I love you for it.” She gives us a tired smile. “No, they don’t know. I figured maybe I should tell the dad first. It’s the right thing to do.”

“Do you need anyth…?” The door to the room bounds open and on the other side is a man none of us know.

“Holy shit!” It comes from Candy but I second the notion.

It’s not so much that he’s taller than Storm or Gray, he’s just wider. SO much wider. Not in the fat way. No, this guy is just… he looks like he could bench press a cow. And not break a sweat.
